Don’t buy this cooktop unless you rarely cook
I agree with all the reviews that talk about the sensitivity of the controls, water shutting down the cookto, and general difficulty controlling temperature. The magnetic knob that is included often doesn’t work at all and, when it does, provides no more accuracy than using your finger. Samsung needs to put real dials on this cooktop. Cooking with a touchpad is completely unintuitive and comes with all these other problems related to moisture, etc. I love cooking with induction but would return this cooktop if I could. Very disappointed with the design and I’m surprised that this product wasn’t tested by engineers and cooks before it was released to the market.

Great...when it works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed the cooktop a few months ago with mixed results. We've found that pots/pans need to be in exactly the right spot for it to work, and its really frustrating when we think its in the right place and heating only to find out that the cooktop shut off because it couldn't detect the pot/pan. We've followed all the directions, placed larger pans onto the smaller cooktop to ensure that it fully covers the cooktop circle, and it still works sporadically. We make it work, but my in laws have an older Samsung induction cooktop (different model) that works flawlessly. Not sure why this one has so many issues.

Worst Customer Experience/Products Ever
this cooktop broke after 2 years. they sent out 2 companies as a “1 time acommodation” both were terrible and had no clue what they were doing. after 3+ months and them approving an exhchage 4x, i still do not have a cooktop. its a contiounous circle of horrible customer service. ive been told the exchange is coming for months now and everytime i check up they say they cant do it and try to give me some ridiculous prorated refund. my kitch was designed around this samsung package and ive had issues with 3 out of 4 of my appliances in the first i would never recommend any of these products to anyome and pray that no one will ever have to go through this process that i have. dont ever buy this product or any of these appliances! i promise you will be dissappointed. 10k package of junk!

Looks great, works OK, horrible to operate
The cooktop looks very nice, state of the art and modern. Love the boost function, boils water super quick.
But the worst part is to operate it and it's controls.
Anytime that a bit water spills for a boiling pot, the cooktop automatically shuts down. You have to wait untill it decides to wake up try to use controls again.
The controls is the worst part. if you have a bit wet hand (and all people that are cooking may have slightly wet hang from time to time) then you cannot operate this cooktop, you will not be able to change the burner intensity.
In addition, one of the burners humming loud.
Sometimes temperature setting on the burner change by itself without even me touching it or removing the pot. I recommend avoiding this cooktop.
I really want to love it, but I start hating it.

Bad design, cannot use with wet fingers
induction great; buttons = extremely poor design and very difficult to use, making the experience using this stove not plesant at all. if your fingers arent completely dry or a little liquid splashes on tbe dials- the stove can change the temperature on its own or just short circuit and reset in the middle of cooking.
had for 6 months - wanted to see if maybe it just took some adjustment on the way we cook, but it regularly continues to be a problem.

Touch control is a desaster
Touch control of this cooktop is a disaster and potentially dangerous. It is extremely difficult to set temperatures on this cooktop. The magnetic knob is more of a "wheel of fortune" than a temperature setting tool, it does not work. The amount of time I spent during cooking to set a desired cooking level is absurd. The settings "jump" back and forth. Beware of the touch control ever getting a drop of water or moisture on it (or having a moist fingertip), it then goes totally wild. A drop of moisture from cooking your pasta will change the setting to anything, like "power boost" and totally destroys your meal. You cannot leave it unattended. If it weren't for the touch control, it would be a great cooktop. Overall, extremely unhappy with it.

Does not disappoint!
We looked at so many electric radiant and induction cooktops, and we felt that aesthetically this was the best one for the price. I really love the flexibility on the leftside burner. The flame option was cool to me (the little things). I originally was adamant to stick with gas, but then over time - cleaning is a pain. This cooktop is easy to clean, easy to use, and the adjustment to cooking on induction was minimal. This was one of our purchases to go a more eco-friendly route as well. The delivery was fantastic (service and handling), so I highly recommend the investment. I received compensation for this review but the review is my own.

Discoloration on Burner
after light use fewer than 10 months, largest burner discolored. followed all care instructions. so-called cosmetic damage is not covered under the warranty. won't consider samsung in the future.
