Samsung 15.6" Odyssey Notebook

Our impressions on the first Odyssey notebook are a mixed bag. On one hand, the system performs admirably with no CPU or GPU throttling and runs at acceptably low operating temperatures for a gaming notebook.

  relatively cool core temperatures under gaming load, strong CPU and GPU performance; no throttling, NVMe M.2 SSD + SATA III bay, system monitor utility, accessible internals, good key feedback

  average display response times; no 120 Hz/5 ms or G-Sync display options, loud fans when gaming; no fan control software, small battery capacity; average battery life, lid could be more rigid; creaky case, warm WASD keys when gaming, no USB Type-C or DisplayPort, weak speakers; poor bass, very slow...

Great speeds, perfect for gaming, and awesome looking laptop. Would recommend to a friend, only thing is, if you're going to make a laptop this expensive, at least throw in full versions of Microsoft office.

I am exceptionally impressed with the build quality and overall value that this laptop presents in the marketplace. I've been using it for just over a week and have been able to easily play Mass Effect: Andromeda, WoW, and several other AAA titles without even so much as a hiccup.

I bought this PC a month ago and really enjoy it. Runs games on ultra graphics with no problem and fans never get up to full speed with all the heat coming out of the bottom vents. Also added a 250GB SSID to the USB 3.0 - it's even faster now.

Im using samsung yet, and im very pleased with the quality of notebook. Samsung notebooks always different in quality, fairness and price.

I've had this laptop for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. It has a nice screen, good viewing angles, speedy response time, and a fantastic keyboard and very responsive track pad. I am very happy with my purchase.

Decent graphics and overall ease of use. The only issues is Office is only a trial.

Amazing laptop for the price, it's perfect if you are looking for something that is good for gaming and is still portable.

I have quite a lot of experience with laptops and not many companies I would recommend. Samsung, Asus, MSI and Acer predator laptops. I bought this as a replacement for my wife's last laptop that lasted 5 years. In technology time,it might as well be a decade but it lasted quite awhile.

Got in to early with this one. I should have let Samsung get into the business of creating gaming computers a little longer than I did. I jumped in right off the bat thinking they couldn't fail. Fail me they did. This computer is poorly conceived and should not even classify as a gaming computer.
