Why we love our Tripp Trapp from Stokke
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If there is one thing that I would recommend to any new parents out there is to invest on the Tripp Trapp from Stokke. I love it so much that when I found out that we were having another baby, I knew I needed to buy a second chair! The only attachment we didn't have with my first was the Newborn Set so I am thrilled that this time our baby girl will be a part of all the conversations from the very beginning, be included in meal times, be independent as she grows into the high chair just like her brother. On top of all that, the Tripp Trapp's design is timeless and blends in naturally in our home.

BIG PROBLEM WHEN BABY GETS TALLER!! MUST READ
Our child is tall enough to move the seat down to the second notch. STOKKE DOES NOT HAVE A HARNESS THAT WORKS WITHOUT THE BABYSET. If I have missed an accessory on the website, please help. The babyset front rail doesn't reach the seat anymore. I popped off the middle harness clip from the babyset front rail but it doesn't attach to the notch on the seat. Very unhappy that I had this chair for 18 months but now have to find a DIY solution to this nonsense until my child can sit still. (But then they'll be sitting at the dinner table in a regular chair!).

Safety Hazard - Broken Clip on Baby Set No Locks
We have been using our Trip Trap chair with baby set as well as the add on seat cushion.
All seemed OK until I noticed today our child was able to pull the baby seat out of the seat plate. This is a significant safety hazard - the seat is supposed to clip into the seat plate and did for a while. However the plastic clip has now apparently worn out and does not lock into place. This part is not listed for sale under spare parts - but should be immediately replaced under warranty or voluntary recall program.
The seat cushion design with the back straps for the baby harness is absolutely terrible - hard to remove in order to clean and wash it. Could have been much simpler to clean more Velcro around the rear harness straps.

No regrets - I'm so glad I bought this.
This was a stretch for me because it is one of the more expensive items for my son. Still, I would do it again. In previous high chairs my 6MO, who could sit up, would slouch over and have to prop himself up. The minute I put him in this chair he sat straight up and was able to engage freely. We pull him right up to the table with us to eat. My son LOVES being in this chair (and I'm so glad to not have to put it away in the attic in 3 months). It is super easy to clean (I just unclip the infant seat and rinse it in the sink), and every surface is easy to wipe down. Also, if you have a wiggly little one, this is a very sturdy piece of furniture.

Great chair, terrible harness
We have two Tripp Trapp chairs. They are great looking and the ability to grow with the kids is fantastic. Four our three year old, it's absolutely perfect. For the one year old, it's less so. Having now been through the experience twice, I have to say that the harness on the baby seat (not the infant cradle) is one of the least user-friendly, most frustrating pieces of equipment I have ever encountered as a parent. Very difficult to remove for cleaning, impossible to adjust with the baby in the seat, etc. I could go on and on. For such a brilliantly designed chair, I am constantly baffled by how badly designed this harness is. Can't wait for my younger one to outgrow it.

The best chair
We’ve been using this chair since my daughter was a baby, and it’s been with us through every stage from first messy meals to doodles and now homework time. What I love most is how it grows with the child. We adjusted it as she grew, and now it fits perfectly at her craft table. The design is sleek and timeless, and it’s incredibly sturdy (even after years of use). Definitely one of our most-used and loved items!

Fabulous chair, horrid tray
This is an amazing chair, beautifully designed and I love that it grows with the child. The chair is also very easy to clean - some thing I was definitely looking for after struggling to keep a standard teacher clean with all the cracks and crevices! However, my one caveat is that the underside of the tree is an absolute disaster to clean. It has a ton of little holes for food to get up in. I have no clue why someone would design the underside of a tray this way! Also, the surface of the tray does not allow any of the silicone bowls and plates to stick. Otherwise, the rest of this chair is perfection. Someone please redesign the tray!!

Straps are an all around pain
Really wanted to love this highchair but have been consistently disappointed by the straps so much so that I can't give it above a 3. * They are a nightmare to take off the highchair. * You have to take the straps off the highchair to wash the cushion. * The straps are a pain to adjust (shorter or longer) * My son is 16 months and in the 99th percentile for weight, 65% for height and he straps are too tight around his belly for us to use them. * The straps can be a little tricky to unclip so I can imagine it being a fumbling pt if i ever needed to pull our son out of the straps quickly (like if he were choking). * Wish there were a strap extension option.
