Solid Pros:Very nice sound quality. Mosts of my tests so far have been with the mic/phone in selfie configuration, so the mic is about 2 feet from mouth and it sounds great! Captured sound is robust, clear and pleasant.No battery required - powered off phone.Full windscreen included.

Item was an excellent buy for the wedding will be streaming outside. This will cut down on air movement across the mic for viewers.

Comparing the recordings made on my iPad with and without the Rode, the built in camera mic has a much wider dynamic range. The Rode works well as a directional ISO mic for voice but compresses the signal far too much for capturing music.

Improved the quality of sound on my iPhone, but there is a clicking noise in the audio...

Im new to capturing audio to support my still documentary work, and this microphone was a great start for me. It connects to my iPhone, and I put the phone on a tabletop tripod with the mic aimed at my subject. Rode has an app called Reporter which I use to capture audio as files for editing.

It's a nice set up for vlogging on iPhone; the only thing is that at vlog distances (arms' length) I did not notice such a tremendous improvement on the sound quality with my iPhone X's internal microphone vs. this microphone. But there was a slight improvement.

Worked GREAT with my Samsung S8+ and I am recording the BEST audio (even in the highest of winds) without any background noise. Love the wind screen it comes with too. Fits perfect on my phone and stays tight.

I love this microphone and it's doing exactly what I need it to do.
