The Rode NT5 is priced well and affordable for a good mic.. This cost me less than half of the amount of the expensive equipment that I had and I have better recordings out of the Rode NT 5 and TC Electronics Desktop Konnekt 6.
Rode and online reviews recommend the NT5 over the NT3 for indoor dialogue, so I bought a matched pair to use with my Tascam 70D and DR40, and they perform as well since I hear no difference, but they are much smaller and lighter on a boom pole, use phantom power only, no on/off switch to forget,...
Just perfect for overhead mic applications! These are a great step up from any novice mic kit. Top end clarity on cymbals can't be beat... no harsh mid tones as well!
Fantasic workhorse mic. Works well for ac. guitar, dobro and mandolin.
Great matched pair at a very reasonable price...
Excellent affordable studio mic for acoustic guitar
The NT 5 matched pair is the industry standard for small diaphragm condenser mics that are priced for the home studio... They perform well on a wide range of sources, including guitar, drum overheads, chorus, and small acoustic ensembles... You simply can't go wrong with these... (m.)
I used this mic to record dialogue inside a small room. Got good sound from it.
Great inexpensive SDC mics. As good as anything for 2 to 3 times the price. Crunchy and aggressive on overheads but not brittle. They sit really well in a mix with almost no tweaking. If you can't afford KM184's buy these.
I use them to capture ambient sounds. They work very good. Are clean and pristine.
Cleanest SDCs you can get at this price range and are indispensable as overheads, on acoustic guitars and winded instruments. The beginner and professional audio engineer needs a pair of these.
