Brought mail order from Muciansfriend.com paid $159.99 I brought this true condensor mic for live recording and sound reinforcement of instruments and choral groups. I also needed a flat hypercardiod mic that I could set back from classical soloists who don't like to be seen with a mic This is an...

This microphone sounds great for this price point. I use as a boom mic for interviews with Nikon D7000 and a Tascam DR-60D.

I find the Rode NT-3 to be a very nice mic for stage use, works well on accoustic guitar, and works well on hi-hat. Nice mic for the price.

Purchased in 1999 this mic still works after all these years. It didn't get much use, as I only used it to record acoustic guitar. Nevertheless, it can do a lot more than just acoustic recording. Build quality is great, sound is excellent, a wide dynamic range, and frequency response.

I record indoor dialogue with this cardioid mic via phantom power XLR cable to a Tascam DR-40 digital audio recorder to sync up later in editing because shotgun mics can phase the audio in high reverb rooms, but you have to be careful the XLR cable connector does not come loose because it will not...

I bought this mic to use for recording indoor dialogue in a low budget indie film production that will soon commence. I have performed several tests with this mic using a Tascam DR-40 Protable Recorder. The sound quality on this thing is amazing! Crisp and clear!

From my research, this was the mic to have for indoor use. I've only used it once so far, but it sounds good. 9V battery power is nice, although I use 48v from my MixPre-D and it sounds very clear. Great for the price. Heavy.

The only downside to the product is sometimes it isnt clear when it is switched on, the light only flashes once if its not low...

The Rode NT3 microphone has been widely acknowledged as a high-value mic for the money by musicians, but not everyone knows it's a great choice for both aspiring and accomplished indie filmmakers.

I use the NT-3 with my Panasonic DVX100B for both interviews and for stage (band) video. Great sound.

This is my first mic for my home recording studio. I am just starting out while trying to keep the cost down. After recording a few tracks of acoustic guitar and vocals I could not believe my ears. This mic is unbelievable!
