As always, let’s briefly go over the strengths and weaknesses of the product, and let’s start with the weaknesses. Making a list of the weaknesses of the Polk Reserve R700 is tough, because, in my view, it doesn’t really have any, especially at its pricing.

Wish there were bolder finish options available
Remarkable sound quality at an amazing price. Using speakers for two channel listening with excellent sound for all music genres. Perform well with less quality recordings and really shine with high quality recordings. Great midrange with spectacular voice reproduction.

Exceptional design and build quality for the price.Remarkable sound qualities overall.Rivals speakers costing far more.

I would have been willing to pay for wood veneer options. These speakers deserve a wood finish that matches their sonic qualities.
Very good Imaging and focusing Very Smooth Tweeter And Bass. They Can Take Plenty Of Wattage. Very clear Sounding Speakers. (Upgrade Time).
Very clear high end, amazing tweeter response and high mid range. Used with 2 subwoofers so can not tell about bass side but for full spectrum and impact, as with any main speaker with a 8” speaker, get some good subs… I can hear definition in music, songs, I had not heard before.
To start off the sound quality is 5 stars IMO, They sound exactly the way I hoped they would. I bought these based on the many reviews online and YouTube, And for me they were at the top of my budget for speakers since I am planning on upgrading my old Sony ES system to a more modern system and need...

Awesome speaker at this Price point!

Finish could be a little better.
Replaced 25 y.o. Tower Speakers when my house flooded. Needed a pick-me-up and splurged on these Polks combined with SVS 3000 13” Sub. I have always had quality sound systems since the 70s, and these blow away anything I have ever owned. Rock, Jazz, movies all sound amazing.
I haven't been able to spend a lot of time in front of these speakers, but I am already impressed with what I hear. They are no doubt articulate and neutral as everyone says, and the bass is excellent. They are well balanced, and actually not as big as I expected.

Don't know how you can find a better value for this caliber of sound in a tower speaker.

Very heavy, and of course a speaker like this deserves a power amp of equal quality and heft.
Best speakers for the price. Bass was accurate and surprising full. Midrange vocals are warm yet clear. Treble not to bright yet remains balance - probably one of the best tweeters I've listened to at this price range.
As soon as I received theses I connected them to my Yamaha A-S801. They sound fantastic, even at first listen. I do not believe in equipment burn in, only in your ears getting accustomed to new things. To me first impressions matter and these Polks sound fantastic.

Everything

Nothing other then one of the speaker boxes appear to be an open box. With bad taping and a slight lifting of the vinyl wrap at the top of the speaker.
Amazing sound , even with out my stand alone sub turned on.
Just received these monsters and have been thoroughly enjoying them. Was looking for a generally neutral tower (personally found the Klipsch RP8000 too "bright"). Great with a variety of music- electronic, rock, jazz. Great bass depth, and vocals really shine.

Vocal clarity, punchy mid-bass, great with wide variety of music. Nice aesthetics

Big, heavy speakers! Not a bright speaker, so you may find the presence lacking for some types of music.
