I had ELAC Debut bookshelf speakers and i wanted to replace with good tower speakers for my theater. I shortlisted few including B&W 7 series, Klipsch r8000 series. I read through good reviews for Polk reserve series. I got these on sale.
Built on their legends series topological these speakers deliver performance at a more reasonable price. When coupled with a quality capable amp (not AVR or receiver) that will deliver enough power the entire line just sings! I replaced my entire system with the reserve line.
Great sounding speaker for mid-sized room. After 30 hours of break in these speakers produced really nice soundstage, low end had punch, upper range very clean. Best speaker in its class. Glad I bought them!
Excellent speakers! Very happy with my purchase.
I have been using bookshelf speakers on stands in a 2.1 system for nearly 20 years. With a larger listening room it was time to try out floorstanding speakers again to fill out the space and I'm so glad that I did. The speakers arrived nicely packaged and without any obvious damage.
I was shopping for the R700 but no one had it in stock. I tried these and really liked the sound but the white vinyl finish didn't go with my room.....I have seen pictures of the walnut vinyl wrap and sometimes it looks nice and cheap at other times...
Other than awesome. The bass is a little weak, But I knew that from the specs. Fortunately, I have two subs. Polk builds a great speaker. It is driven by a Denon receiver. AVR-X6700. It is just a great sound platform.

Weak bass, sub woofer is a must.
Worth every dollar! Better than my DCM Time Windows, which I love! Very balanced and neutral speaker. Clean bass response- much better than expected.
I've been using Polk Bookshelf R15s for the past 20 years for my 5.1 surround sound setup. Finally decided to upgrade and replace my Left and Right speakers with R600s. I have to say I'm very impressed with sound quity and build.
TLDR = Just like the others have said, these speakers are great at any price point and excellent for the current price. If you are in the market for a mid sized floor standing speaker you should give these a try.

Clean, detailed, and almost full range sounding speakers with a slight U shape sound profile. The down firing center ports work great and allow close placement to walls without room boom being created. The walnut with dark gray speaker grills look awesome.

The R600's need more power than other speakers I have owned. I have them paired up with a 200 wpc into 4 ohm Amp. I normally have the pot set at half way for normal listening levels. So you will need a good 4 ohm rated amp to power these correctly.
