The able Polk Audio PSW111 subwoofer delivers seamless bass despite its compact size.
8-inch powered subwoofer; built-in 150-watt power amplifier; medium-density fiberboard cabinet with smoothly rounded corners; excellent connectivity.
The larger, more powerful 10-inch version costs $50 less.
No, not Bigfoot, but actually a "small foot"!I was feeling like something was missing in my new stereo music system and adding this smaller size Subwoofer did the trick!. I wasn't quite feeling the bottom-end the way I thought I should be feeling it when listening to music with my smaller bookshelf...
Warm, deep bass for music.Small footprint.Easy setup and adjustments.
Can't think of any!
This was the perfect compliment to a home theater setup that had just two front main speakers and a center channel (no surround). The two front mains are floor/stand speakers with 12" bass and horn tweeters and mids. This 8" PSW111 pushes far more bass than the 12" mains.
- Clean, tight, deep bass, - Very small footprint - about a 12" cube, making it easy to place out-of-the-way, - Auto-sensing power switch, - Front-firing speaker and down-firing port, - Superb bang-for-the-buck
None at all
Easy to use and install Subwoofer. Connected easily in place of a defective speaker I replaced. Has a great auto on/off feature. Clean clear sound. Sized okay for the amount of power. Just works right out of the box without much fuss.
This little guy puts out some serious bass. Seamless transition with my Polk RM series center and satellites. Can you overwhelm it? Of course - it's an 8" speaker. But it's perfect for smaller rooms and smaller systems. Strong warranty from a reputable manufacturer.
I was disappointed at first, the speaker sounded a bit flat. After all five other speakers were set up and adjusted I went back and just lowered the SW volume a bit and it just fell into place, harmonically speaking.
Good Power Output
I am not sure when Polk introduced this sub but I have been using a Denon surround in a box with small satellite speakers. I felt my amp was getting tired so I switched it out first. Living in a small house i chose an Onkyo 333 with satisfactory results.
Pretty good bass for a compact device! Thinking of buying another.
Nice subwoofer! Small, compact and great bass response for the size. I highly recommend this subwoofer from Polk Audio!
Great Design, Good Quality
No Remote Control
Awesome sound and works just like the tech I talked to on the phone recommended. And the price was very acceptable.
