The Polk MagniFi MAX SR is a great home theater option for those looking for a well-rounded audio experience. Movies, sports, video games, and Bluetooth audio all sound excellent; there’s plenty of customization at each mode to fine tune each.
Having used the Polk’s MagniFi MAX SR over the past couple of months it’s a mixed bag for me. I love the simple design, wireless system and ease of use. Sound quality is superb and I enjoy it but the popping and chirping interference put a damper on the experience.
Bass handling and dynamics could be improved but this is still a pleasing concoction of multichannel sonics, superb connectivity and tidy design. Voice Adjust is useful, too.
If you want surround sound with minimum fuss and maximum discretion, the Polk MagniFi Max SR is a good option.
Decent surround effects, Easy set-up, Good with dialogue, Pre-programmed for IR commands from major TV brands, Chromecast built in
Subwoofer doesn't integrate well, Not subtle enough for music
After going into store to buy a different system the sales guys suggested the Pulk system to me and without even hearing it I was handing over my money. I couldn’t wait to get home and get it set up...... really well boxed up which made unboxing even more fun.
Nice crisp sound
Took a bit of a chance as I had never heard of the brand before, but I did have a demo in store. Got it home, so easy to set up. Basically connect the wires and switch it on. Sound is fantastic, had it about 3 weeks now and no issues at all. Better than my old well known brand beginning with "B"....
Got this to replace a Yamaha systemThis works good and I can even control it from my skyq remote
I bought this to replace a conventional AV 5.1 system mostly because it was much less intrusive/bulky and my system was getting a bit old. I've only had it a few weeks so it's early days but so far I'd say: a) sound quality is very good b) basic set up was pretty straight foward c) the wireless...
I am no sound expert but had watched the system for months and eventually dealt at £449.No doubt I've not used the system to its full potential but it's great so far and "perfect" now that we have a detached house!!
Very happy with the Polk soundbar, very easy to set up, no wires to the rear speakers and bass just plug them in,voice assist works really well, great value.
My Philips Fidelio wireless system developed a fault which couldn’t be fixed so I was offer an alternative under the extended warranty I purchased. This Pol system was the only one available.
I bought with the Magnifi Max SR as I needed to replace a home cinema system with something 4K compatible. For me the pros of the system are that the wireless elements, (sub and rears) are easy to place and do not involve masses of extra cable.
I bought this set up for our family room not being able to tolerate the sound out of the TV! The room is an awkward shape and does not lend itself to a full 7.1 wired set up which I have elsewhere in the house. The installation is literally plug and play.
