The machine replaced my VSX-822. Installation and set-up were a breeze; completed in about three hours. LI have an extensive digital music library dating back to the mid 1980s with close to 500 albums. The Stereo sound is fantastic (from Elad Debut 2, 6 inch speakers and Pioneer small woofer).

Great receiver if you have small space. I own a huge Pioneer VSX... that is over 15 years old and twice the size and weight of the 534. If is too big to fit in a cabinet. While only a 5 speaker surround if has plenty of power and features and its smaller size fits anywhere.

Got the VSX-534 to replace a 10 year old Sony AV receiver. Set up was easy except for the CEC, which didn't work well with having an LG OLED TV, Panasonic BluRay, and an Arris1100 FIOS box. It kept switching the input back to TV or FIOS.

You have to turn the sub woofer levels down from what the automatic setup preset since it has so much bass you can't hear the center channel dialogue very well. Overall, a great amplifier and sound system. Pioneer does it again with a great product.

Received receiver with FW ver. R104 and Dolby Atmos working directly no issue from my Xbox Box X1 ... After Upgrade to Ver. R108 I don't have atmos Available ... Planing to Contact Pioneer support.

Steup is was a breeze. Got 5 peakers and subwoofer connected. Sound is out of this world. Had a Sony 7.2 receiver before, which shorted out because the new place the wall plug was not grounded I found out. So bought this one. This is way better then the Sony. You can setup bass , treble from remote.

Replaced a 20+ year old Pioneer Elite amplifier with this unit. Wow! I didn't know how bad that old amp had gotten. Easy setup and great sound from this unit.

Replaced a Demon from 2005. Big improvement. Great option if you dont care about wifi or 5.1.2 dolby atmos. I use the dolby atmos feature for movies on my 5.1 setup an it works great. Great for music Aswell. Lastly room correction made a bigger improvement then I was expecting.

Bought this receiver to replace an old one. This was so darn easy to set up even for me at 70 years old! Used for our surround sound set up and it is great.
