120mm macro is a true classic. Everybody does and the quality overall is pretty much the same (pentax, fuji, zeiss etc). What makes this one special? Well just look at the price...This focal lenght is a very usefull one, kind of must have. Good for portraits, landscape, bugs, nature and macros.
I love it...It worked as SPECIFIED...
This lens, while a little heavy (the 75mm and the 150mm seem so light weight in comparison), is exceedingly sharp. Once you see the detail using it on the 645D body, the weight issue disappears.
A little heavy
I havent got time yet to test it so much, bought it two weeks ago, but it is a fanstastic lens, very sharp. One thing that surprised me was the way to change between automatic and manual focus.
I don't like the way the auto/manual focus ring works. It is too easy to unintentionally slip from one to the other.
yes guys i see what you mean by sharp ,i used it with 645D, i was amazed at the details i got in portrait. it was like a macro scan.
Sharp,balance well with 645d.
slow focus (acceptable for portrait)
This lens is very sharp on a 645D. I only can recommend to buy it. You will not be dissapointed.
It's always worrying buying an expensive item from abroad but I took the chance and recieved a second hand lens which is in fantastic condition. It is a brilliant lens and it just makes me love my Pentax 645D even more!
This is a fantastic lens. It's sharp (incredibly sharp) across the whole range with fantastic micro contrast. If you have a 645 I think it's a must have.
I'll join the chorus singing of the sharpness of this lens. I have both the A and FA versions of this lens; I will sell one of them at some point, but it's hard to do. The 120mm macros in either version are the sharpest close focus lenses I own.
sharp, sharp, sharp
heavy and not great at infinity
