Crisp and clean photos... the f-stop is low enough to create some great effects. It's slim profile and light weight are great for a walk around lens. Love this thing so far!
This is a great lens. I also have the kit 18-55mm but that only goes to 3.5. I needed something to create amazing Bokeh and work great indoors or low-light and this was it.
My favorite prime lens.
A must for every Pentax user. Luminous, dreamy, and sufficiently sharp(over f2.0) lens.
So far I like, I just get it I noticed between 1.4 and 2 at the digital way there is 1.6 and 1.8 in addition of 1.4 and 2 and from 2 to 4 there is the 2.2, 2.5, 2.8, 3.2, 3.5 in addition of 2 and 4, basically you will get more steps in the diaphragm at the using the digital set than the manual ring...
I am very happy with the images I captured using this lens. The bokeh is out of this world! The filter threading looks like plastic, though. I would have preferred a more rugged outer ring... it has already cracked from a fall.
Pentax is overlooked by some, but with this lens you will capture shots that make others envious. This lens has gone up in value over time.
I got around to putting this lens to some serious use. It has beautiful bokeh and the fast lens does well in low light. It takes getting used to when working with a fixed lens at 50 mm, which is bordering on telephoto. All the features work on my digital Pentax.
This is my day-in day-out go to lens. I take a lot of portrait shots of my kids and I absolutely love this lens. Bought it in 2009 and I'm still using it all the time.
This is a nice fixed lens. Clear and sharp photos. Fast action and good price. Would recommend it to a friend.
