I bought this lens when I bought the Pentax K-1 in November 2017. There is a little corner vignetting in full frame mode that is easy to crop. I use crop or square mode with no problems. Excellent lens and camera for wildflower photos. Good macro depth of field.
Great lens for Close up work. This lens lives up to the high standards of all the other limited series lenses. I have done, more than a few, stacked images with this lens and I am more than satisfied with its performance.High Iq, color, resolution and all other aspects of the images are superior.
This lens is small, light, well built, macro, corresponds to a standard lens on an APS-C camera, and is very, very sharp already at full aperture. Cherries on the cake, it takes 'Pentax standard' 49mm filter, and it has a very convenient hood built-in. Cannot ask for more than this.
I purchased this lens for use with my Pentax K-50 to complement my 50/1.8 and have macro capabilities, even if they are limited. Pros: - Solid build quality, heavy and all metal - Sharp images - Macro capabilites - Great all-around lens Cons: - Macro capabilities require to be close to the object,...
I have used this lens for different applications.Mainly to shoot my small scale sculpture. It has the correctgeometry to better illustrate small distances and render smallobjects with a three dimensional emphasis.
Owned for 1 month so far. Everything is great with the lens. If you want to focus on Macro photography you may want a 70 or 100mm lens, this one works from very close range.
I am a confirmed Nikon man, but purchased my K3 because neither Nikon nor Canon understand the concept of rain. Originally I bought the weatherproof K3 and an assortment of weather resistant lenses, but the more I use the Pentax, the more I like it.
Wonderful lens. I Would recommend this lens to anyone doing macro or close up, or even just walk around photography.
I use this lens with my K50 and its basically the only lens attached to my camera now. Its a great walkaround lens that's suitable for a variety of purposes including low light photography. The macro capabilities are a nice addition. The lens is super sharp.
Sharpest tool in my bag. Great for macro and as a prime 35mm lens.
