I am not a professional photographer, but I have had no problems, and great success with this lens, using my new Pentax k3-2 camera. Brings out light that I can't even see with the naked eye, with a faster shutter speed in low light settings.
hard to mount on camera, dot hard to see. that's the negative. take great close photos.
just started using, already very impressed, time will tell
Great lens! Sharp at all focal lengths. The best walking around lens I have ever had.
It is a complete all-round lens. Very sharp and focusing is fast.
This lens has 'Made in Japan' stamped on it and many suspect it is manufactured at the Tamron plant there. Pentax lens manufacturing in general ceased in Japan a few years back. It is similar to the Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC but lacks the VC mechanics (Pentax cameras have IBIS and in lens VC is not...
great for landscape photos, sharp, fast focus, but heavy as expected with f2.8 lens.
This is an amazing lens. I had planned on replacing my K7 with the K1 and buying this lens at the same time, but the K1s were back ordered on the same day they were released. I wemt ahead and ordered this lens anyway, anticipating having a K1 soon.
by far the most amazing combo with the Pentax K-1simply amazing
The DFA 24-70 is, by all accounts, a Tamron lens that has been adjusted per Pentax specifications. What exactly that means and whether the coatings used are Pentax's own, is a little unclear to me, but this lens was designed with a full frame camera in mind.
