Works perfectly with my K-50 after the firmware update. This lens is noticeably sharper than the 18-135mm kit lens and has fantastic auto focus speed, especially if not using live view.
First of all, it is extremely light (464g) for such a large range (55-300mm). I have retired my Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Macro in favour of this baby, even though it is also lightweight (520g).
I was impressed with the results of the difference between my old 55-300 lens and the new full frame version on the 55-300 HD PLM WR RE lens. Camera used: Pentax K1 Mark II My old lens is about 14 years old.
Everything thing that I was looking for. Compact, fast focus and sharp. A perfect match for my KP.
Great lense, very sharp and feels nice. Happy with the shots I've got with it.
I'm an amateur amateur photographer and I love this lens. I added it to my K-70 to go with the 18-135 it was bundled with. Fast focus and very crisp images.
I purchased this lens about a week ago to go along with my Pentax K-70 camera. I wanted a lens that could "reach out and touch someone". I am very much the novice with respect to DSLR photography and have only learned enough to use this lens in the full auto mode.
Best lens I have ever used. Well worth the money.
This is the fastest focusing lens in the Pentax lineup and also the quietest. I bought this little gem on April 9th and have shot it many times. It has breathed new life into my K-3 with super fast auto focus which is very precise. Continuous AF is excellent, the tracking is quick and precise.
Bought this lens along with the K-3ii about two weeks ago. Didn't work until I did the firmware update. Had to use the autofocus micro adjustment to get decent results. Even looked into returning the entire purchase.
