I am giving this lens 1 star not for it's quality or image quality but for the fact that it will only work with the K3 II, K70, and K1, and even then only after a firmware update.
very crisp lense works well.
Great lens, fopcueses almost too fast. If you are following something moving hold your focus lock button
This is a great lens, currently I am using this as my primary daily lens, and so far it's been flawless. I have been using this with my K-70 and so far it's been flawless, images are sharp and the focusing speed is very fast (and it's silent when focusing too!
Just used at Kruger National Park, and the lens performed beautifully. Focus is quick and quiet with no hunting; images are sharp throughout the focal range, even at 300mm in good light. Weather sealing was a bonus in dusty conditions.
One of the sharpest zoom lens in the Pentax lineup. The 0.3x macro is an added bonus.
Great consumer Zoom. Fully zoomed in best sharpness at about F8.
For the money it doesn't get any better than this - this is outstanding value. WR, new coatings and re-tractability make this a fantastic travel lens.
This is an excellent little lens very well worth the about 305 EUR you can get it for new here. Even though it clearly is an APSC only lens I did buy it for my Pentax K-1 FF camera as light vacation/travel tele option.
I was really excited about this lens. I have a K-50 with firmware 1.10v and this lens should work with it as advertised on the Ricoh website but it doesn't. Might be a good lens but not for a K-50.
