i replaced the one i had due to an accident with the camera and have been nothing but thrilled with the quality of the photos produced with this lens. i love the scope and the clarity. i will buy it again when i have to.
This is a great overall lens, and the one I end up choosing almost every time I go shooting. I can't add anything else that hasn't been said before in the great reviews!
As a daytime street lens, you cannot go wrong with this lens. It's weatherproof and versatile for portrait and landscape. Pair with weatherproof Pentax body and you won't worry about the weather.
Great lens for a wide range of applications- took it on a trip to Asia and didn't feel the need to change lens once!
Bought this lens for near field of musicians performing indoors in low light. Since they dont stand still much, getting a clear shot can be frustrating. This lens paired to the K70 body is amazing. Very clear & clean files that often dont need post processing.
I was so sad when my Pentax KX fell on the ground and the lens broke, and I was so glad to find a reasonable prized replacement! It comes with the little hood as pictured in the second photograph.
I use my Pentax digital camera to photograph inactive mine sites in the State of Colorado. My new lens is so clear, I wish my vision matched it.
This has to be one of the most useful lenses made. I use it 90% of the time. With the Pentax, and its built in stabilizer, images are extremely sharp.
This is one of the least expensive lenses made by Pentax for their DSLR cameras, yet it's one of the most useful. Optically, it would score an 8 on the traditional 10-point scale. Slight barrel distortion is present at 18mm, but that clears up as you zoom to the higher settings.
Its an alright lens. only used it for landscape and when its rainy outside. other than that it's way too slow for anything and the bokeh is not that great. good kit lens, and would not buy it ever again.
