Trim kit looks good but I'm not a fan of the gap around the outside of the microwave. It looks much less "built in" with this gap. My old microwave with trim kit did not have this gap. The trim kit, while made of stainless, uses 4 plastic clip to hold it in place.

I am glad I bought and installed the microwave trim kit. It really enhances and finishes the look of the new Panasonic Microwave. Couldn't upload a photo of the installation but it definitely looks good. Quality made and relatively easy to install.

I read the reviews, saw the complaints about the seemingly wide gap between the trim opening and the microwave chassis. I was very careful with measurements in my installation, because I realized that not centering the trim, and the oven, then the gap would be even more noticeable if not the same on...

This trim kit was actually more expensive than the microwave. Fortunately, it's an attractive solution. But unfortunately, it's the only solution for someone needing to replace a built-in microwave.

I had to cut into the cabinet a little bit but I was able to make it fit.

Okay -- you don't know me, but I hope you listen. This unit is overpriced and poorly designed. The installation manual is obviously written by individuals who are not skilled in communicating in English. The thickness of the cabinet wood (for attaching the frame clips) should be at least 3/4 inch.

Hard to install and will need a pro, looks good when done!!
