This compact standard zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras covers a range equivalent to a 28-84mm lens on a 35mm camera, sports a unique compact design and optical image stabilisation. It is currently available as a kit with the Lumix G1X camera and can be picked up on its own for around £370.

The results of our test show that, when it comes to the optics, we deal here with a typical ‘kit’ lens which doesn’t stand out against the rest of contemporary devices of this type which are added at almost no charge to the reflex and mirrorless cameras of its rivals.

Just received this lens and took it out on it's first shoot. I'm a professional aerial photographer and I thought this lens would be a perfect addition to my 4/3 collection to be able to zoom in and out on subjects.

Bought this to use on my Ronan M gimbal. But, it's actually a great little everyday lens for close quarters. I have been using it for behind the scenes on my latest feature.

Really suprized at this lens. The fact that something so small can produce such a nice image. Again dissapointed in the hogh stop limit (3.5) but understandable in such a small lens with a servo zoom.

I am so impressed with this lens. Really top quality optics. Love the power zoom and focus features - I use it in on a Blackmagic Design Studio Camera, so it being active allows me to remotely control it. Brilliant and really useful.

it takes nice shots--happy with it. Haven't tried it indoors yet in low light but this shot was taken in deep shade if you are looking for compact this is the one
