I'm not great a photography but I think the lense helps me a ton. This is perfect for fallowing my pets around outside, hiking, and capturing beautiful landscapes..
I got this when it went on sale...I am using a panasonic g7...I have the Olympus 40-150 but it focuses too slow on the panasonic...This lens focuses very quickly...my images are very sharp...I have used it to shoot cityscapes and wildlife and portraits..
I saw an ultimate frisbee game with this lens on my panasonic GH4 and was very surprised with the result in video not in photo so if you were looking for a cheap sports photography lens this is not the lens you're looking for and the Zoom is not smooth so while in video if you're zooming in and out...
Im very happy with the performance of this lens. I mainly use if for video, but the stills are decent. Its perfect mid length and lets you get nice close up shots from a distance. The O.I.S. works better than I anticipated with my GH5s for hand held.
I'm very pleased with this lens. While it's not exactly a high end lens with auto focus and image stabilization built in, it is an excellent lens for the money and I've been extremely pleased with it so far. This will definitely tide me over until I can afford a much higher quality optic.
Amazing quality optics for the price paid. Everyone should have one of these in the camera bag for the few times you may need a long telephoto!
I was able to get some good shots even with my shaky hands. But I might have saved my money, if I had spent more time with the kit lens that came with my G85. You'll want to be sure you really need the extra zoom range, as I found myself having to swap back to my kit lens a couple of times.
The Lumix 45-150mm f4 is super compact and very light. Lengthwise it is long as the Canon 50mm F1.4. Extremely compact for a 300mm field-of-view (equivalent). It works amazingly well on my Olympus OM-D E-M10. Fast AF. There is no on-off switch on the lens for stabilization as with other Panasonic's.
I have both the 25mm and the 45-150mm and love them both. The 45-150mm was able to be used to capture clear photos from decently far distances. My girlfriend took photos of me walking at graduation. She was four rows from the very top (in the top most level) and they looked great!
I haven't had a lot of time to test this lens but in my opinion it was a little soft on the high end of the focal length range. A decent price for this lens still made it a good buy.
