I purchased this lens to go with an Olympus E-M10 II, and it was an excellent lens with high-quality optics for the price. However, I ended up returning it and picking up the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II (note the II in the model name!
I have an Olympus E-P3 kit with 17mm 2.8 pancake. I love the pancake for candids and portability, but craved a zoom for outdoor shooting. After shopping around the Panasonic 14-45 landed on my doorstep.
Inexpensive, Compact, Convenient
Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
This lens is very small and light. Focusing is fast. A great everyday zoom.
Works great with my GH4 for video. Can't go wrong for the price.
This lens was refered to me by the website and its great!
A great lens for my GH4. It does get pretty dark when you zoom full indoors, but that is to be expected.
I have used this lens extensively on a full-spectrum infrared converted Lumix GX1, and it works great for infrared shooting. See sample photos at Flickr under my nickname and GX1 album. The lens is sharper than the newer 10-42mm lens.It has a smoother zoom ring than the newer lens.
Its a nice lens, good quality, sharp images. Only negative is the slower speed rating.. but you get what you pay for. Great in bright lighting.
This is a great choice for an everyday walking around lens. Better build and image quality than the kit lens, it's fast enough for most situations. Not a go to lens for low light, but at 3.5/5.6 you have to expect that.
