I consider myself a Canon person when it comes to cameras. I was really excited about and ready to press buy on the Canon sx730 in July due to the articulating lcd screen (finally!
Great little camera with all the manual options!!! Love being able to move the screen! It's been really great for travel. I probably wouldn't have ordered the accessories, but it's great to have extra everything. Very pleased with this purchase!
So much disappointed with the performance of my ZS70. Earlier used Sony HX model - highly satisfied with that. While click button pressed, noise is getting appeared on screen. Very bad in photography. Surely, I'll not recommend.
I recently replaced my old ZS25 Lumix (stolen) with the DC-ZS70. In limited use thus far, the ZS70 has been easier to use and very high quality. I like the manual controls that give me a little more "old school" photography --- much like my old Nikon F 35mm.
This is a really great camera that takes amazing photos.
This is a great camera, a great replacement for an SLR.
I upgraded from Panasonic DC-ZS50. There are some good improvements. I like the tilting of the screen, and it has touchscreen. These functions are more useful than I anticipated. The zoom range on this camera is very impressive. I mainly use it to observe wildlife, mostly birds.
I took this camera with me when I went on a safari in Africa and the zoom capabilities are amazing! I could even use the camera as quasi-binoculars! My pictures of giraffes, zebras and elephants came out so high-res and so close-up. A nice size - fit in my purse.
A great alternative to taking your bulky DSLR gear. Perfect for travel. It will not disappoint!
For some time now I've relied on a small point and shoot digital camera and a full sized DSLR for my more serious photography needs. Usually on visits to museums and large indoor venues I like a wide angle or fisheye lens on the DSLR and use the small point & shoot for everything else.
