Ticks all the boxes for a mid-range CSC, with a few fancy features thrown on top, even if it doesn't win out in the style stakes.
The new Panasonic G85 is based on a Micro Four Thirds 16MP. The camera offers a brilliant electronic viewfinder based on OLED technology. This viewfinder is very large (0.74x; equivalent to a 35mm film camera with a 50mm lens) and offers a high resolution of 2.36 million RGB dots.
Once again, Panasonic has produced a mirrorless camera that caters for both still photography and movie enthusiasts. We could find few faults with the G85, the most notable being the raw file processing software that Panasonic keeps promoting.
I shoot an event with this camera and its great , using metabones adapter and sigma 18-35 great combo ;)
Got this camera about a month ago and so far it's been great. My work is primarily focused on video and the image quality and usability of the camera are outstanding. Panasonic's 4k video file size is close to my previous canon t5i's 1080p files which in itself is a massive workflow upgrade.
I had misgivings about buying and held off until a firmware update came out to fix the IS problem associated with shooting video. Downloaded and installed the update: now smooth as silk. I'm still learning the camera...it does a lot more than my Nikon D5000...but so far it's been fantastic.
The latest firmware update solved the IBIS issues in video and this little camera performs very well! Great IQ, great video... I just wish it had a 20MP sensor.
Is certainly a camera with excellent image quality, the shots I have made in video are also of a superior quality-
So far this has done an awesome job on pics!!! I got this camera as my first mirrorless and I am not disappointed. I have not tried to record with it yet so I am not sure of the jitter issues I heard can happen with focus tracking. Panasonic did release a firmware update on 11/16 to correct.
This camera has everything I needed. Photo's look true to life.
Una cmara todo terreno, esta es la mejor definicion para la G85. Las imagenes son vividas y nitidas, con un color agradable, La estabilizacion es excelente, incluso con lentes Olympus. No he tenido ningun tipo de problema con la estabilizacion en video.
This comes with almost all the bells and whistles you can imagine. It's comfortable, shoots sharp video and stills, has weather sealing... All for an extremely reasonable price. Kudos to Panasonic.
to me it is a big step up from the G7 I love that it took away the anti alias filter photos are really nice and sharp now with any added sharpening to them. also the colors are beautiful
