My first additional lens for a Panasonic Lumix camera was purchased to give me more range in still and video photography. With a F4.0-5.6 ASPH it is not a low light lens but for one with a limited budget it will give me an opportunity to expand my shooting experiences.
It's a nice little lens. It is stabilized. It is surprisingly sharp in the center (for the price, that is). This being said, after trying to love it for a couple of months, I still eave it home most of the time and generally prefer taking with me a set of faster primes (including some old fully...
I bought this for a recent trip to Caribbean and was blow away by how sharp the pictures turned out. I took a Panasonic GM-1, 12-32mm zoom (came with the GM1), this 35-100mm zoom, and 20mm f1.7 pancake (for low light). It was an extremely tiny kit that fit on my waist in a CozySpeed case.
Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged
Poor in Low Light
Excellent optics and build quality. Amazingly small and a perfect companion to the 12-32 kit lens included with the GM1. Much smaller than expected and really showcases the portability of m43.
AF fast, tack sharp, very small and light "70 to 200" equivalent telephoto lens.
Stunning image quality, good IS and dimutive size makes this a great travel lens. Matched with my GM5 it's a great travel kit. Small aperture, a given compromise considering its specifications.
First of all this is a budget lens, so comparing it with other budget lenses I wonder who would really want one. If one wanted a long lens, there are longer lenses that cost less: Oly 40-150 f/4-5.6 and the Pana 45-150 f/4-5.6.
This is an excellent (if a bit pricey) lens. It's very sharp and has great contrast. Optically, I didn't find anything to complain about. The collapsible design also makes it tiny when stored, however it is an extra step when you turn on the camera.
Great little lens. Tiny, sharp.
I use this on a Yi M1 mirrorless. Much better than the Yi lens. You can't go wrong with Panasonic!
