This is an incredibly compact 70-200mm equivalent zoom as sharp as some prime lenses throughout the entire focal range. It's amazingly sharp wide open, so a boost in ISO or adjusting exposure compensation in darker settings can still produce great shots without a larger max aperture..
Excellent optics and build quality. Amazingly small and a perfect companion to the 12-32 kit lens included with the GM1. Much smaller than expected and really showcases the portability of m43.
This is a small, light and stabilized lens. I use it on a Panasonic LUMIX GX 8 which allows dual IS. I love this lens. It's pretty sharp and the images are lovely with some unexpected micro contrasting (Like a Leica). This is easily a pocketable lens. You can't go wrong with this one.
My first additional lens for a Panasonic Lumix camera was purchased to give me more range in still and video photography. With a F4.0-5.6 ASPH it is not a low light lens but for one with a limited budget it will give me an opportunity to expand my shooting experiences.
This is a truly fantastic tiny lens. Sure, it may not be *as* sharp as my 35-100/2.8, but it is not far behind, and for the size... it's absolutely a blast. It is now part of my "always on me" travel kit alongside the 12-32 and the 15/1.7.
I first tried this lens on my old GF1 camera with very surprisingly good results. And yes the O.I.S. does work on the GF1. This is where it was going to live as a walk around setup. Then I tried it on my G7 doing videos. It performed magnificently as a video lens. The sharpness is incredible!
The new Panasonic 35-100mm f/4.-5.6 lens is an excellent addition to my micro 4/3 arsenal. The older version of the same focal length is an excellent and also a faster lens ,but the lens is also more expensive. If you need the extra speed and have the money, then buy the older version.
I purchased this lens for my wife to use with her GX7. First impressions of the construction performance are good. The lens like the 12-32 Panasonic zoom must be extended with the zoom ring before use. A reminder message is displayed one the LCD/EVF to extend the lens. The autofocus is fast.
These lenses are exactly what I was looking for. It is equivalent to 70-200mm and it complements very well my pancake 20 mm (40 mm equivalent) in the GM1 Lumix. The sharpness and quality of image is really good, though it is not the most luminous lenses.
Stunning image quality, good IS and dimutive size makes this a great travel lens. Matched with my GM5 it's a great travel kit. Small aperture, a given compromise considering its specifications.
