I've been lugging around a GH4 and DVX-200 video cameras when traveling. I wanted something smaller and more automatic on my last trip, which didn't require pro-level video quality. I bought this camera and was very pleased. It is easy to use and provides a good picture.
I’m used the 4K mode to record on class 10 64 gb SDXC card, but when playback,it happens froze for half second the end of clips, between every clips, but if I use the AVCHD,MP4 mode to record that’s no problems ,the pictures is good and clear, that’s imperfect 4K camcorder.
I got this camcorder hoping to improve my videography, getting away from using my DSLR.I went with the previous reviews of this camera as a good starter.Easy to set up, however the touch screen use is kind of difficult with big fingers, but I get through it.
I've filmed several basketball games in 4K. They came out really well; a big improvement in quality over my cell phone (Samsung S7). I had to record three games in a row one day so I connected the camera to an external USB power pack (attached to my monopod) and it worked great.
The camera is awesome. Plain and simple. It just needs light to excel. Indoor or out I get some real fantastic HD video providing its well illuminated and overall am very happy with it. I also own a Sony ax53 and Panasonic Tm900.
The 4K is wonderfully sharp. I don't even have a 4K compatible screen, but I can still tell the difference. I've used my camcorder for fun and to record a forum discussion (I used some Boya BY-WM8 wireless microphones attached to this camcorder for the sound during the forum) and everything has been...
We got the HC-VX981K for shooting small docs and it does wonders! It's not a full CMOS and it gets quite grainy on low lights, but if you manage to control your set it'll get the job done. As I stated before, a good option for the price range.
I needed a camera or camcorder that filmed fairly well in low light. I film bands with the ZS 70 and FZ 80. These work great in the daytime or at night when the stage has good lighting. In dim lighting ----I use this camcorder. Works really good.
This is an excellent quality camera, we bought 3 for church video streaming to Facebook and they are top quality for this purpose.
I really love this camera. There are so many shooting options. I work as a Private Investigator and this camera has the ability to shoot AVCHD which allows me to convert the video to include date/time stamp for court use. The clarity is amazing and the zoom is wonderful.
