These sound great. I love the control options on the rear for tailoring the sound to the room. Beautiful transparent tones. Clear highs and satisfying lows.
This was my first time purchasing any equipment. I started out writing poems and then started writing songs. Now I'm able to record my own self on my own time. I love the quality of the speakers.I honestly have not one negative thing to say about it.Im just ecstatic that I came across sweetwater's...
First off let me say this. Completely blown away by the sound and physical quality of these monitors. Previous monitors were M-Audio 4.5" monitors and sounded super tinny and didn't deliver the quality these do. I'm probably gonna save these and when I can afford to upgrade to the 5" or 8" versions.
I was looking for small and dependable studio monitors, so I decided to give these a try. For the price point, you cant beat em', they give you a good sounding and very accurate translation for mixing in a smaller studio.
The speakers produce an electric buzz when approached. The sound quality is good but in this case you definitely get what you paid for...Pay the extra money and go with a higher quality speaker
I will preface my review by saying, I'm a bit of an audiophile when it comes to sound and quality. I generally do lots of research before buying speakers and receivers. I bought these as my first pair of monitors, but also use them for listening to music through Pandora.
The sound is very good for the size. I wouldn't go crazy about it. It might need more time to break in. I do have a very high end system for normal listening and this to me is fine for background. I love the connectivity and ability to play loud enough.
I will admit this is my first pair of studio monitors. I'm mixing in a small apartment in NYC, in a studio that is also my living room, so compact size was a priority. The sound that comes out of these given their size is amazing.
These monitors are great for home studios, or as speakers for entertainment systems. Sound quality is very good for the size. While these don't produce the clarity and high/low response of larger monitors, they have a fairly neutral midrange and excellent projection.
For consumer level monitors, I think these are fantastic. I've listened to everything from Mozart, to Mingus, to Metallica and I really like their sound. Clear and articulate, not too bassy, unless you want them to be.
