I use this sub in conjunction with a Yamaha powered mixer and 2 passive 15" PA speakers. It does a nice job filling in the lows which allows me to drive the passive speakers hard with the mids and highs. Very happy with it so far, I have had it for 6 weeks now.

I use this in combination with a pair of 12" powered mains to DJ small venues without a sound system, generally 50 people or less. For that use case, it works great. If you are providing sound reinforcement for a band, this would be good to add some beef to the bass drum.

i bought this unit for an in club system, mainly for the cheap price. i knew what i was getting myself into before i bought the sub. the peavy sub is paired with 2 JBL MRX500 passive top cabs, powered by an EV Q1212 amp with crossover.

Weak Bass

Never been a fan of Peavey products, but I like this sub-woofer. It would have been nice if it could sum left and right- had to get a separate crossover that does that to use a single unit in a stereo set-up

These are a bit behind the more expensive powered subs, but did the job at a budget price. I did a sound system upgrade for a small church with limited funds, and these worked just fine.

I loved it. I have had a really good passive sub for a while but the extra work to hook it up just became a waste of time to me. Hook up was simple to my four powered JBL's. I ran it at about a quarter of the way up and it was plenty of bass. Even turned it down on my mixer a couple times.

Very nice sub for the price

It's a thump-er, used with other Peavey equipment for PA and music sound.

Boom, boom, boom in da room. Love da bass. Neighbors don't appreciate the jumping and thumpin. Put wheels on it.
