The Optoma UHL55 is a good 4k LED projector. Priced at $999, we should all own one. Did I mention they have set a fairly high bar for the warranty. 2 years or 20,000 hours, whichever comes first. That’s impressive. This is the projector you are looking for to have out by the pool on a summer night.

1.2 Throw ratio, fixed lens. It would be great to have a zoom for install options., The size, for mounting may end up being a little awkward., 95ms delay, not the best for gaming. Would probably work for most of us and the kids, but if your serious about your ping and frame delay, you will find this...
We've reviewed a few Android-based portable projectors in the past, like Anker's Nebula Capsule and the AAXA P2-A . The Optoma UHL55 is something else entirely. It's still a projector, and it still runs Android, but it's closer to something you would find in a high-end home theater.

Projection qualityThe UHL55 maxes out at 4K (4096 x 2160), and supports 3D and HDR. The image is bright and vivid, thanks to its 1,500 ANSI Lumen lamp., SpeakersSound quality is decent, and the projector can get very loud.

PriceThis is more expensive than most other 4K projectors, at an MSRP of $1,599.99., Android appsOptoma only offers a handful of applications from its app store, and there is no support for Widevine DRM.
The Optoma UHL55 is a smart 4K projector that you can easily move from room to room and set up quickly thanks to autofocus and keystone. It’s a $1,399 projector that packs a lot of features into a small package.
Optoma unveiled the UHL55 at CEDIA 2018 earlier this month. The projector follows in the footsteps of their first smart projector, the Optoma UHD51A, with its Alexa Voice Control function integrated into the projector itself.

Excellent 3D performance, Accurate enough Rec.709 colour, LED light source and instant on/off, Good motion, Lack of rainbow effect, Frame...
Alexa voice control is the headline act, but this projector’s novel design and sharp 4K images is what impresses most.

HD sources look poor, Black levels not the best, No protective case
This projector produces an amazing image. Its super sharp, bright in most conditions, and relatively compact. The design is pretty stylish too. But, dont buy this unit for the Android OS or wifi.
I wrote a review but deleted it as I thought I was going to have a problem with the Optoma projector but I have since sorted it. I previously picked up an LG PF50KA for a small den space in my apartment.
BUY THIS NOW WHILE YOU CAN! $749 is an unbelievably low price for an LED DLP 4K UHD smart projector. I purchased this as a replacement from my Philips Screeneo S6 when the price first dropped to $749, kicked myself for not buying two of them when the price jumped back up to $999.
After a negative experience with a Chinese branded portable projector (Jmgo N7), I had reservations about going the portable route again. Fortunately, this Optoma delivers in the most important respects. The picture is colorful and sharp (HDR images, in particular, are breathtaking).
I had purchased a Vankyo v600 projector to replace a defective older Acer projector, and to my surprise, the budget friendly Vankyo was light years better. BUT, it always bothered me that no matter what, I could not get the focus to be 100% sharp (I suspect due to the old fashioned way that it...
For some reason the videos I uploaded look blurry and compressed as well as my camera overexposing the dark areas making the blacks look washed out. It doesn’t look like this in person but the videos do show the colors and stuff ok. TLDR...
The picture is nice but I find it difficult to notice the difference between this and a good 1080P projector. Why I don't recommend anyone buy this: 1) It makes me select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 every time I turn it on.
There aren't a lot of reviews for this projector anywhere. So I made the leap and I don't regret it once so ever. I don't really write reviews but there just isn't enough Info on this projector to warrant someone's purchase. Hopefully I can alleviate this for a few people. -PICTURE QUALITY.
I was in the market for a portable 4k projector and I decided to buy the uhl55. I went in with very high Hope's but was let down by the quality of the black levels, the picture was sharp but in dark scenes this projector let me down.
Packaging The projector is packaged in a flimsy cardboard box, which has already been damaged during transportation, and if it were not for a thick layer of packaging material, the projector could be damaged too.
