I think this lens is awesome! I've had it for two months now and I've been taking amazing pics. Very easy to use. Put camera in manual mode and youre ready to go.
Cumbersome to use. Difficult to do a rapid change out. Less than what I expected. I have been practicing with it for a while and have yet to have a satisfactory picture. I'm sure it due to user error, but my photographic life shouldn't center around adapting to a lens.
The lens itself is of higher quality. However, it didn't come with instructions and doesn't provide any online. Wasn't too difficult to figure out. But, when aimed toward the sky the lens tends to slide backwards and you lose the picture.
High quality lenses are expensive. This does ok at the 800mm and gives the expected quality. I wouldn't recommend it if you need high resolution, but if you just want to get in a little closer and know how to do manual focus, give it a try.
Good for the money. It is manual everything so none of your cameras auto settings will adjust. I have a d5300 and use this lens for wildlife, I do a lot of bird documenting and monitoring. I have used it with and without a tripod and it takes practice either way.
Wasnt auto focus so it was returned
This lens was stiff, hard to focus. Though the quality at the lower focal length was adequate for the type, the larger/longer length was not good. Was returned.
Thank you. Takes very good moon pictures.
still getting used to selecting settings
After looking at the reviews, I still went ahead and bought this lense. Very happy with the lense and quality of the pictures.
