I bought this because it was set up with HDMI, I couldn't get my Vizio "smart tv" to recognize my older Onkyo receiver with all the other wire hook ups. The amount of volume to turn up 5.1 speakers seems excessive, and the volume knob is cheep plastic which I was surprised after my last unit.

It's everything you could ask for and more. This is my first home theater system and I didn't want to break the bank. This receiver easily powers my mind is 5.2 set up with ease. The only thing I didn't notice is that I didn't have Wi-Fi so I can't use my phone app.

Upgraded a 1994 Denon AVR-883 to get HDMI and audio sync problems fixed. It's loud, auto calibration is awesome and it does everything needed for my home system. Great value! If you don't need WiFi (I don't) it's perfect! Haven't tested Bluetooth yet.

Not reccomended for older TV's

Due to all the shortage of systems due to parts, was concerned about the quality and having to settle for something affordable. Saved a ton of money and got exactly what I was looking for!! Sales says great sound on a budget and I don't believe I settled at all.

Good budget receiver that does everything I need it to do.

Needs the volume to be very high level just to be heard at all. If you go over 55db with it the unit shorts out and has to go through its diagnostics. Each time it displays check speaker wire. I ran a Sony previously without issue. I've tried different HDMI cables, multiple fiber cables, no change.
