The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14 extends the reach of select Olympus lenses without sacrificing image quality, but it does reduce the amount of light that the lens captures.
Compact. Dust and splashproof design. Extends reach of lens by 1.4x.
Very limited compatibility. Halves light-gathering capability.
What I used for testing this adapter I used Olympus OM-D E-M1 and E-M10 with Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 pro lens. It makes your lens f/4Pros:1.Nice small size adapter I was surprised how small it was. You dont even notice it on your lense.2.
Its really great. Wish it worked on more lenses other than the 2 (which it works well with). Would have been 5 stars if it worked for all new Olympus lenses, but 4 because it works only on two lenses.
Doesn't affect your focus ability , nice addition to 40-150, very small and easy to carry on. The price was a bit high at launch, especially for a so small optic but these days, you can find them at decent prices.
Easy quick focus, small
I have had my micro 4/3, MC-14, 1.4 X tele converter for about a week, and it works very well on the 40-150 Pro lens. I get a reach of 210mm (420mm on a 35mm system), which gives a good image size at 40 to 50 feet.
I would have given this 5 starts if it fit with more than one lens the Olympus 40 to150mm.
I use this teleconverter with the Olympus 40-150/2.8 Pro and hopefully soon with the 300/4 Pro. Teleconverter is sharp! I have no issues with using this on the 40-150. And coming from a Canon system, I was surprised at how small this converter is.
I've been using this teleconverter for seven months now and have noticed that it is very, very soft. It deteriorates the image nearly to the point of unusability. Here's just one example. I took these photos within a few minutes of each other, both on a tripod, and both with a remote trigger.
works like a charm with the 40-150mm pro, sharpness is not affected, and you still can have f4 as max aperture.
Stretches my 40-140mm just a little further with no loss in image quality. Takes the base aperture to 4.0.
