The Olympus M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO is, mostly, a highly desirable lens - except for one bug. On the positive side, it is very good if not excellent in the primary image quality metrics. It is very sharp across the focal length range including some greatness in the middle portion.

For Micro Four Thirds users craving longer focal lengths, Olympus’s latest addition to its already impressive lens line-up is as good as it gets.

The combination of great build quality and performance alone are enough to recommend this lens. The fact that it offers a unique zoom range, whilst maintaining a fast f/2.8 throughout is even better. It's capable of delivering excellent image quality too, and is even fairly reasonably priced.

Regular 'consumer' zoom lenses have a variable maximum aperture, but pros demand a constant f/2.8 lens with consisting top-drawer performance – and Olympus has produced exactly that.

This is actually the one you want.I've been shooting m4/3 off and on for a while. When the Panasonic 35-100 came out, I got a very early copy. Don't get me wrong - it's an excellent lens. But this one is better. Loads better.The biggest complaint from m4/3 enthusiasts - it's too big.

The Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8 is a brilliant lens. Very sharp, reasonably compact and light for the aperture and focal length and has the fabulous Olympus push-pull manual focus collar.

This lens is a great buy! On micro4-3 it is a 80-300. The lens handles nicely with my omd-em1 & battery grip. I love the way the lens hood operates...just slides back and forth, no need to take off and reverse it.

I love this lens. The image quality is sharp corner to corner and the lens shows exceptional vignetting control and virtually no chromatic aberration. The only downside is the price, at least at the present time.

No weak spots here. It's a no-brainer if you can afford it.

This is one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used! Even sharper than the Canon L lenses I have, including the 70-200 f/2.8 IS! On the Olympus EM-D M-5 Mk II body with IBS, the images at 300mm, hand held are tack sharp! Very impressive lens! Highly recommended!!
