Good for the money. Good keys, average encoders, good drum pads. It's better to place it on a flat surface instead of a stand.

The Novation Impulse 25 is a 25 key MIDI controller that will work with any of your DAW programs you choose to use it with. It is very easy to set up because all you have to do is load the drivers then go into your program and set it up through your MIDI connections.
Novation wants you to use their Automap software with this, so be forewarned that you will forever be at the mercy of that. it wouldn't install correctly on my windows 7/reason laptop, so you may have to put your hopes of plugging and paying away. (Automap IS very helpful once it works).
There is a small delay I am still trying to workout but overall the midi is great! I just started making beats and this is perfect for everything I want to do. The automapping is the key and makes everything so convenient.
