This scope is great. I’ve used it in multiple states and and for different animals. Antelope, deer, elk and bison. It’s gotten me the view that I wanted. I’ve used in different light and didn’t notice any problems.

It is a good scanning tool to spot the target, very good view in low magnification. It is also light weight, easy to carry around.

Very satisfied with my 3_9×40matte bdc would definitely purchase additional Nikon products and would recommend to family members and friends to also purchase

This scope is designed for, and only suited to viewing objects with a short depth of field such as targets or perching birds. Focus at 20x is adequate, but as soon as the eye piece is zoomed toward or beyond the mid point in the 20-60x range focus becomes problematic.

I SHOOT IN NUMEROUS MATCHES OUT TO 200 YARDS. WITH THIS SCOPE NOT ONLY CAN I FIND THE .223 HOLE IN THE TARGET BUT I CAN SEE THE STAPLES HOLDING IT. A PHOTOGRAPHER BUDDY SOLD ME A 3 AXIS BOGEN 3030 MOUNT THAT HAS A QUICK RELEASE THAT I MOUNTED TO A CLAMP.

I use the spotting scope to view birds as part of my research on endangered species and this scope is great! My older scope, the same model but two years older, has a narrower lens and doesn't let as much light in -- the new model is wider and lets in more light so see the finer details of leg bands...

At 20X it's very sharp. At 60X the image is blurry and it's virtually worthless.

I bought this scope. Love it. Excellent quality for the price. Comes with a bikini. Downside is that at full zoom it is impossible to focus.

I bought this scope for birding and it doesn't disappoint. While out on birding events with the Audubon Society, I often looked through other scopes and since I wear glasses I could only see the center of the image through the scope.

I'm using it as a spotting scope at 100 yards. Crisp and clear at that range, even looking for small holes in the target. The down side is the eye relief; super close for viewing, but functional. A camera adaptor would be great??
