This scope is a replacement for an older device. The older one never made it out of the house, as it was too heavy, and the optics weren't great. Enter my lovely new Nikon, which has great optics, and is so very lightweight it is going everywhere with me.
Image quality is very good and size/weight of this scope is awesome!
Thoroughly pleased with this scope. I use the scope for bird watching and the clarity is very good. Easy to set up and to use and then pack away. All in all a very good purchase indeed.
I bought this scope because of the excellent rating it has received. Although I have only had it for a few weeks, I like what I see. My primary use will be birding though I will also use it for my occasional trips to the shooting range. I was surprised by it's light weight.
The Field of View was smaller than expected and the eye relief wasn't great. No problems with the clarity. I ended up sending it back and buying the Vortex 15x50 HD binoculars. Has enough reach for my needs, bigger field of view, and got the tripod mount.
With the wide DS eyepiece it still weighs just 750g and small enough to fit in a pocket in the rucksack, ideal for foreign travel. Good optics and the magnification and field of view are excellent - higher magnification is often of little use due to heat haze etc
I used to own an ATS80HD by Swarovski, but found it too bulky for all day mobile birding, also I was frightened that I was going to drop it and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up nearly 2k pounds worth of optics. So I sold it, and after lots of humming and haring brought one of these.
Why buy Swarovski or the like when you can have one of these little demons. I have previously owned an ATS 80HD but was too scared to take it out in case I dropped it and buggered it up. Also, I wanted something a bit smaller.
Well made product as expected but for me, it's not possible to hand-hold the 'scope sufficiently steadily at any magnification.
just the job ...still difficult to hold unsupported with 27x...but a really good product....would recommend to anyone...very good ...nice one
