This product is excellent. I am so glad I chose Nikon! I will come to Nikon for further products in the future as well! Way to go Nikon!
This scope is a replacement for an older device. The older one never made it out of the house, as it was too heavy, and the optics weren't great. Enter my lovely new Nikon, which has great optics, and is so very lightweight it is going everywhere with me.
I've owned several light weight spotting scopes in my life, but the Nikon ED 50 is by far the best! At 20.1 oz. it is the lightest but still has, by far, the clearest optics.

All my other scopes have "coarse" adjustments, making it difficult to focus. Not so with the ED 50!
Image quality is very good and size/weight of this scope is awesome!
Very good scope. I would recommend it to anybody who needs a scope.
Thoroughly pleased with this scope. I use the scope for bird watching and the clarity is very good. Easy to set up and to use and then pack away. All in all a very good purchase indeed.
I purchased this scope for viewing deer and elk, as well as for bird watching. I paired it with a small Cullman Nanomax tripod when backpacking or a Nikon window mount when in the vehicle.
I bought this scope because of the excellent rating it has received. Although I have only had it for a few weeks, I like what I see. My primary use will be birding though I will also use it for my occasional trips to the shooting range. I was surprised by it's light weight.
Use this scope for zero my Ar-15 and 10-22 , always get a clear view, good product for the price.
The Field of View was smaller than expected and the eye relief wasn't great. No problems with the clarity. I ended up sending it back and buying the Vortex 15x50 HD binoculars. Has enough reach for my needs, bigger field of view, and got the tripod mount.
