The Nikon D3200 provides some welcome updates to the entry-level series, like a high-res LCD and 4 fps burst shooting. With just a few quirks, it's a worthy option for any beginning user.

Good video and images, Plenty of resolution for crops, Light and compact

Quirks in video start process, Some noise at higher ISO, Distortion Control feature limits burst frames
Nikon is to be lauded for offering a 24.2-megapixel DSLR for less than 700 bucks. This is first and foremost a still camera, and as such does a very solid job. It is clearly an entry-level model without the sophisticated tweaks enthusiasts crave such as bracketing, more cross-type sensors, HDR and...

24-megapixel APS-C sensor, High-quality stills, 4 fps and full HD video at 30 fps

Kit lens doesn’t do the sensor justice, Noisy videos with high ISOs
A solid if unexceptional entry-level dSLR, the Nikon D3200 should still please most folks looking for an upgrade from their point-and-shoots.

With reasonably fast performance and very good photo quality, the Nikon D3200 delivers what you expect from a dSLR.

The camera's lackluster feature set, some underwhelming design changes, and photos that don't necessarily surpass its predecessor may disappoint.
The Nikon D3200 is a no-nonsense, ‘traditional style’ entry-level DSLR that is a solid performer on all levels. It doesn't offer much in terms of innovative features, but comes with the highest pixel-count in its class and good image quality across the ISO range.
-
+
Good detail at low ISOs (with good lenses), Well-balanced noise reduction at higher sensitivities, decent noise levels, Relatively low raw noise levels allow for custom processing in raw conversion, Good quality video output, Decent buffer and burst rates for this class of camera, Overall responsive...

Slightly soft output at a pixel-level, Tendency to slightly overexpose in bright contrasty conditions, Unintuitive setting of aperture in movie mode, No 'live-preview' of aperture changes in live -view, No dedicated ISO button (but you can set the Fn-button to control this setting), Live-view...
The D3200 is a refinement of the D3100 which now sits at the low-end of Nikon's entry-level DSLRs. The truly remarkable change is the new 24 megapixels sensor which can shoot continuously at 4 FPS for up to 100 JPEG images. It is a relatively compact DSLR with the most basic feature set.

Low image noise, Good image colors, Accurate autofocus system, Short shutter-lag, Good shot-to-shoot speed, Excellent time-to-first-shot, Generally good ergonomics, Full HD video with autofocus, Good build quality, Easily usable with gloves on

Serious over-exposure, Below average AWB, Autofocus on the slow side, 1s video record delay, Microphone records camera noise, LCD glare when settings are changed, Self-timer resets after each use, Live-View not exposure-priority, No exposure bracketing, Exposure steps always 1/3 EV, Odd Auto ISO...
Without a doubt, the Nikon D3200 is a very impressive little camera. Despite the fact that it is targeted at beginners and those upgrading from a point and shoot camera, the D3200 can deliver superb high resolution images that closely rival even some of the higher-end offerings from Nikon.
Overall we had a good time with the D3200. It’s a fast snappy fun camera with a few pet peeves like no auto exposure bracketing and the convoluted menu – things that even cheaper DSLRs and point-and-shoots do better. Of course we can’t forget the mono-microphone’s poor sound quality.
An entry-level SLR with a truly pro-quality sensor, but the Nikon D3200’s price may be too rich for beginners
The D3200 ($699) is the entry-level camera in Nikon's digital SLR line-up. It's designed to be consumer friendly (in terms of both price and features), but Nikon didn't skimp on features here.
Nikon has delivered an excellent camera in the Nikon D3200. Its Guide Mode is especially good and very useful for novice photographers.
Take a look on some reviews before grabbing this kind of digital camera. Nikon 3200 is a wonderful camera for those who are not professional photographers. The technology helps us a lot :)

I bought it because I wanted to make a leap in digital cameras, pass my Nikon 1 J1 to the Nikon D3200 was a very good choice. A powerful camera to its range. Its dynamic range and color depth is optimal, together with its 24 megapixel camera has given me excellent results in my work as an...
didn't create the review to critique the technical aspect of the camera, aside from the non-factory packaging, everything is in order and here. functions as described.

did not come with the box pictured, came in a plain white box and had a finger print on the lens.. shipping label said new but this looks like a refurb to me. kinda takes the value down a notch when being purchased as a gift.
Easily one of the best DSLRs to learn on. Incredibly high quality photo resolution, user friendly interface, and amazing for video recording! Learning how to shoot in manual mode on this is very simplified and easy to navigate, and I highly recommend it.
I am new to the DSLR world, this camera is my first step in my new hobby. As an entry level DSLR its everything I had hoped for and more!! This camera will serve my needs for several years.

I have only had this camera for 3 months and have taken about 3500 photos and I found that all the pictures were good,as in clear and they came out as exactly what I was shooting. And if the pic was busy or too close or far away ,it was my error not the camera. Also the software program that Nikon...

Very user friendly, all the settings are easy to see and to find. The guide setting is user friendly,it opens up to 3 choices (shoot)(veiw/delete)(set up) so its very easy to set up for types of shoots as it displays the auto settings(which is great for us newbies). The battery lasts quite along...

I really havent found anything I dont like about this camera.
It’s been two weeks since I bought the D3200 and I’ve been spending a lot of time with it. It’s one of my first few purchases with my hard earned money online and I’ve been searching for a good DSLR for a month or so and I badly wanted one with me on my college tour.
