Nice and sharp. Tends to hunt a little bit when doing closeups but that's typical for a macro lens. It's a great portrait shooter as well.
Consistent Output, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Loved this lens from the moment I opened it. It does an awesome job with macro. It's pretty fast and works great as a portrait lens (on a crop camera). I prefer my 35mm for a walk around lens, but this isn't bad either. A little too close for some things, but really a great all around lens.
Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Used this lens with a Nikon D7000. It made beautiful snowflake images and great ring photos. I will be using this lens quite a bit for my detail shots.
This lens provides the versatility that I needed when traveling in Thailand, I shot scenery and portrait using this lens with very satisfying results. I recommend this lens when you are traveling light and want sharp quality for all conditions.
I use this for closeups, mostly flowers and landscape. I also find it's fun to use on other objects.
Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
