I’ve never tried to hide the fact that, in my opinion, real binoculars start from a 30 mm objective lens. I can consider something with 8x28 parameters as a pair of binoculars as well but only at a push. Such inventions as 8x20 or 10x25 devices have just one asset: their small dimensions.

    sharpness level on the very edge could have been better,, a bit truncated pupils.

Having used a Swarovski 8.5x42 EL SV, it was a great comparison with this Nikon.Image quality and brightness is outstanding. Depth of field actually better than the Swarovski's. However it's not a flat field, and that's where the big difference is. In addition eye placement is important as well.

These binoculars offer a comfortable and easily adjustable clear optic. The range of these works well for hunting and seeing things pretty clearly within about a half mile. They are also very easy to carry and are not very bulky.

Purchased the binoculars for travel in Alaska. The item is solidly built, but light to carry and is well protected against frequent Alaskan rainstorms.
