Handling and features This tiny telephoto lens for Nikon 1 system cameras provides an angle of view equivalent to an 86.4mm lens on a 35mm camera, which should make this an excellent choice for portraiture.
With this 32mm f/1.2, Nikon have managed to produce a really interesting lens, which offers a good balance of excellent optical performance, good build quality and compact size for a pretty reasonable price. What more could you ask for? For the price... not a lot.

CA a little high at fast apertures, Care needs to be taken under certain conditions to avoid flare at fast apertures
This lens is absolutely amazing. In first, I tough it angle of view would be a little to narrow, but finally, it is absolutely not because it allow you to be ''out'' of the scene and making you more discret, leaving the subject to still at it own natural.
This lens is a beauty...and a keeper. If you're an N1 fan, you should strongly consider this portrait lens. It offers pro quality build and feels substantial in the hand.Several times strangers have noticed this lens (silver version) on my V1 and complimented me.
The new lens is fantastic. However the diaphragm broke after 18 months and the aperture is stuck closed. I foolishly bought this from a so called "gray market" retailer for a measly $150.00 savings, so a replacement of the A Unit will cost me $270.
This is one of the lens that every Nikon 1 shooter should have in their bag. This lens is the shrunk down version of Nikon's 85mm 1.4. The good: Sharp with enough resolution to show off your 18mp Nikon 1 sensor in all its glory.
This is the only f/1.2 auto focus lens in Nikon's entire inventory. This lens has a 35mm format equivalent of 86.4mm and works wonders as a portrait lens. This lens has resolution that compares to Nikons best FX lenses.
While the crop factor on the 1" sensor increase depth of field compared to similar effective focal lengths on larger sensors, this lens provides great shallow depth of field. I like having the longer reach for portraits since I don't like being in the face of subjects, especially unsuspecting ones.
