Compact. Ultra-wide fish-eye. Very sharp. Close focus capability.

Pricey. Lacks internal focus motor. Shows some color fringing.
This diagonal fisheye lens for DX format SLRs offers a 180 degree angle of view from corner to corner, a bright f/2.8 maximum aperture, a minimum focus distance of 14cm and costs around £525.
I would highly recommend this lens to any photographer who enjoys to challenge themselves and develop their eye for the abstract and the original, for those shooting sports or cultural events where that one magical shot that encapsulates the energy or scale of the moment can only be achieved in a...
Even though this lens was one of the first diagonal fisheye lenses made available for DSLRs with a sensor smaller than 35mm film, it still holds up well against the competition, despite being more expensive.

Excellent sharpness from maximum aperture, Very good build quality, Hyperfocal scale, Smooth manual focusing action, Compact and reasonably lightweight
-

Chromatic aberrations towards the edges of the frame, Falloff of illumination towards the edges at maximum aperture, No silent wave motor means no AF on entry-level bodies
The 10.5mm f/2.8G is part of Nikon’s DX lens range designed for APS-C sized sensors, meaning if you put it on a full-frame FX Nikon D-SLR you’ll need to crop the resolution to avoid black edges.
This is an amazing lens that I keep finding new ways to use. Sharpness is fantastic.I probably use it about equally now between images where I want the fisheye distortion and images where I intend to correct the distortion in PhotoShop.
This is a Niche lens for DX cameras. It's about as wide a lens you're going to get for a Nikon.
This lens, like all fish-eye lens, is all about understanding where it will be at its best. I love to use it in big spaces. The bigger the space, the less noticeable the lens will be without editing.

Small, sharp, predictable, well built

I already had a superwide for my D300, but when a friend had to sell this lens in a hurry so his wife would let him buy some other lens, I purchased it for only $250. This lens is really sharp and might be one of the best fisheyes built with respect to optics.

Great DX Fisheye that can be shaved and work well on FX. This is pro-level glass in my opinion and a lot of fun.

The only con might be that people sometimes overuse a fisheye for it's distortion
This is *the* lens for shooting action sports. Fast, nice distortion, tons of fun.

Light, fast, small, nice distortion

I am a newer/intermediate Photographer. In fact I am student of Photography. I've been snapping for years but never with anything but cheapo cameras or my smart phone. I now own a D5300 and a bunch of lenses, and I take Photos now, not "snaps" ;~).
Great for close ups - you can get mighty close! Great for wide astrophotography. Sharp, very petite and loads of fun. Love it.
I am looking forward to using it amongst other things for Astro photography.
