These mics are inexpensive but built for abuse - and that's what you get. Beautiful sound and safe to put in front of a loud guitar cab or trumpet. Great microphone, I have a pair of them and they're great on everything from Leslies to snare drums.

Bought as a low profile mic for 360 filming. Works quite well. The included mounts are a little odd... I was able to bend them into a shape that sort-of worked for me; but I could have done with some alternate mounting options. Was happy to pay more, but such a mount was not available for this mic.

It is installed above the altar table in a church. With proper mixer adjustments picks up properly the sound around the table. Very good combination price/quality.

Good for the price. However they sound completely different one from the other....

Don't be put off by the bargain price, this is a wonderful amp mic, period. The RSM5 is impressive sounding on guitar amps or speaker cabs. In that application, it's better combine the RSM5 w/ another non-ribbon mic, like condenser or dynamic. I get great results combining RSM5 with a ShureSM57.

Well I've had a chance to plug them in and use them a bit and so far so good. But the test will come later this summer when I use them to help mic a musical. I'll revisit this when that's done.

I needed a ribbon mic in the home studio, mainly to record anything that's loud and needs a warm tone. Most ribbon mics seem really expensive, so I'm glad this one exists. Using this up close to a guitar amp sounds great.

exceptional sensitivity in a theater setting. I have a single mic hangin down center stage, about 10 ft off stage floor in a six huundred seat theater. As long as the actors speak in a normal to slightly elevated voice, the mixer and amps can do their job and pick them up with no feedback...
