The Surface Go won’t be the right fit for most people. It’s just not good enough at being a laptop or a tablet on its own. However, the Surface Go could be perfect for the type of person that would never spend a thousand dollars on a new laptop or feel comfortable on something like a Chromebook.

Remarkably sturdy for its price, Beautiful design and display, Type Cover is impressive, Affordably priced

-
Clunky performance, Tablet experience is lacking, Type Cover is a pricey add-on
The new Microsoft Surface Go is the perfect size for casual coffee-shop computing, but getting the full experience quickly drives up the price.
-
+
The Surface Go delivers Microsoft's great Surface design and accessories at a lower price and in a smaller size.

The Pentium processor isn't suited for all tasks. A keyboard cover is a must-have add-on but still sold separately. And you'll probably want to pay extra for more storage and RAM, too. Battery life is lacking for a go-anywhere PC.
Microsoft’s Surface Go is a high-quality compact tablet available at a low price. However, do not be fooled by its price if you intend to use the tablet as a full-fledged laptop. In this case, the additional accessories will quickly add up.

premium quality materials, perfectly made case, very robust chassis, no thermal throttling, bright high-contrast display, very low DeltaE 2000 deviations, high color space coverage, no clouding, microSD card reader, decent battery life, silent

-
low in internal storage (64 GB), just one USB-C port, PWM, expensive accessories
As a tablet, the Surface Go is a bit of a disappointment, primarily because it lacks the iPad’s range of apps. The ones in the Microsoft Store are mostly repackaged software designed to use in Windows with a mouse and keyboard. However, with the addition of its excellent keyboard, the Surface Go...

Excellent keyboard, Superb screen, Well-priced, High-res 10" PixelSense Display designed to be viewed, touched, and written on, Lightest Surface yet, starting at 1.15lbs, All-day battery life, with up to 9 hours of unplugged power, Runs Windows 10 Home in S Mode, streamlined for security and...

Performance can be slow at times, Battery life isn’t as good as iPad Pro’s
The Microsoft Surface Go is an attractive computer with a great display. This sets the standard for affordable 2-in-1s, but it should have come with a keyboard.
-
+
Attractive with strong build quality, Bright, vivid display, Affordable starting price

Short battery life, Doesn’t come with keyboard
Conceptually, taking the favorite Surface Pro 2-in-1 PC and shrinking it down to a 10-inch model seems desirable, but with lowering the price and performance of the components there are questions. Is it usable in the lap? How good is the performance? Can you type well on it? Does it even make sense?

+
Comparatively fast performance., Outstanding build quality and hardware., All day battery life., Excellent display and inking experience.
-
-
Windows 10 is still not a great tablet OS., 10-inch PC experience has obvious tradeoffs., No Thunderbolt 3.
It’s time to think of Surface as Surface, and not an iPad competitor

Ultra portable, Great keyboard, Good battery life

Big bezels mean screen is cramped, Dongles, Upgraded model is pricey
The Surface Go sits in a somewhat interesting segment of the market. The base model has a price that’s low enough to be considered a value proposition, but like all value devices, there’s compromise to get there.
The Surface Go is an odd thing. Not because of the device itself, so much as how Microsoft ultimately arrived at it. The tablet was reverse-engineered, the low-end addition to the premium Surface line.
about Microsoft’s new budget Surface tablet and how it will use Intel Pentium chips to save on cost. Well, the cat’s now out of the bag and the Microsoft Surface Pro has indeed been shrunken down. Meet the Microsoft Surface Go.
As a photographer who travels a lot, the Surface Go is a great travel computer with plenty of power and storage. I certainly wouldnt replace my desktop with it, but its great for packing light and uploading my pictures until I return home.
The Surface Go is the perfect 10" tablet to come onto the market. While it may not be able to handle power robbing HD games, it will play HD mp4 video files beautifully. It will open up most online videos without a hitch.
This tablet PC doesnt come with the fancy accessories and wont be a full laptop replacement, but it does exactly what its designed to do. This thing is amazing for travel; just the right size and feel. The touchscreen, storage capacity and build quality are amazing for this price point.
I purchased this item to carry with me when I am out and about. It serves the purpose of a laptop, a writing pad, and all of the useful tablet functions.
Much faster than the previous Surface 3 but battery life is not great. Probably due high performance processor.
I use it at a secondary device to my Surface Book 2. Other than the mediocre battery life (which must improve on the 2nd Gen version) it has met my expectations!
