Ergonomic design leads to wrist comfort; enhanced function keys for common shortcuts; five programmable favorites keys; dedicated back/forward keys for Web surfing.

Takes up a lot of desktop space; isn't compatible with PS/2 adapters.
If you've suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome or other hand and wrist pains, you'll want to run, not walk, to check out the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Even if you're repetitive-stress-injury-free but curious about the state of the art or tempted to try a split keyboard, it's the best such...
Keyboards don't get any better than this -- at least not with currently available technology. The Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is quiet, comfortable, and overall a joy to work with. Highly recommended to anyone interested in a more comfortable computing experience.
The Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is a serious keyboard for safety- and comfort- conscious touch typists. Although awkward to use at first especially with the reverse slope attachment, I have found myself able to type for longer periods of time without discomfort and have a better posture when...
This keyboard was definitely designed around ergonomic ideals. Microsoft has taken a well-tested split "Natural" keyboard design and ergonomically improved it even more for the heavy user in mind.

Split keys: you either love them or hate them. The ergonomic design, built to reduce RSI and enhance your comfort, can take some time to get used to, but after going through a month of irritation relearning to type, a lot of people never go back from Microsoft's Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.
I bought this keyboard during an emergency. I had used this type of keyboard before but not from Microsoft. This keyboard is great! I love it! It is very comfortable and is easy to use. When it arrived, I just plugged it into my monitor and I was in business. Can't say enough! Buy it!

Smoother Mouse Pad
This is the most comfortable keyboard I have found yet! I do a lot of typing between gaming and home projects and I have found with this keyboard my wrists don't hurt like with others I have tried. You should definitely give this one a try!
I have been using the wave style keyboards for 30+ years. I have large hands and the standard style keyboards are just too small. While I also have and use a Logitech wireless wave keyboard on another computer, the design of the MS keyboard is easier for me to type on.
I used this at home for a number of years until I knocked a drink onto it. Decided to replace it with a different ergonomic keyboard, and I still regret it. I absolutely love having the four extra keys above the numpad, they definitely help speed up programming (in C-based languages, anyway) since...

- Very comfortable, wrist pad is nice

- Spacebar is a little wonky if you don't press down close to the center
I've been using them for years, like the look of them. The quick buttons on the top work well, if you want to open a folder or a program, you can set them up on the My Favorites buttons. Overall, don't know why there isn't more ergonomic keyboards out there, but this one works just dandy.

Feels good on the wrists... it's hard to go back to a normal keyboard once you're used to this

They last maybe 2 years with daily usage. Then some of the keys seem to not work 100% of the time, such at Ctrl
This was a replacement for my last Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard, because the old keyboard I had was getting full of crumbs and the letters were worn off a number of keys.
An excellent product with awesome value. I have one at home and work and cannot recommend it enough.

I have this keyboard at work and it is just great. I like the spacing in the keyboard which forces me to use both my hands while typing. Multimedia keys for mute and launching programs are an added bonus. This is a wired version.

The MICROSOFT NATURAL ERGONOMIC 4000 KEYBOARD is the best keyboard I have used. I am going to buy another one since I killed the first one!

Quiet; easy to type on once you get used to it!

Too many buttons that don't always work correctly!
As a writer, having a keyboard like this is really a big help. It is desinged to make me feel comfortable during long hours of work. Glad manufacturers have thought of making something like this.
It took me a few days to get use to it but now, I already feel that my hands are resting much more than with the regular keyboard, and I don't feel pain on my wrists by the end of the day. also de features are great.
