The Surface Laptop Go is an imbalanced machine. On one hand, it's one of the best $550 USD laptops you can find because its 10th gen Core i5 CPU, 3:2 touchscreen, and metal design are better than anything else at this price range.
faster display response times than Surface Laptop 3, USB-C charging and DisplayPort support, quiet fan during low-medium loads, >95 percent sRGB coverage, affordable starting price, well-calibrated display, crisp 3:2 touchscreen, small and lightweight, metal chassis
low-end SKUs are stuck with 4 GB of RAM, below average Turbo Boost sustainability, serviceability could be more user-friendly, no Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, or SD reader, higher-end SKUs are overpriced, slow NVMe SSD write rates, slow graphics performance, hinges could be more rigid, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity...
Although it's missing some nifty features from the pricier Surface Laptop 3, the Surface Laptop Go is what many people are looking for right now: a well-designed, lightweight laptop with adequate performance that won't break the bank.
Inexpensive, Light weight, Comfortable keyboard and touch pad, Multiple color options, Attractive styling and excellent build quality, USB Type-A port
Less-than-1080p display, No face recognition camera or keyboard backlighting, Internal storage tops out at 256GB, Middling audio quality
The Surface Laptop Go is Microsoft’s most accessible Surface yet, a very good budget laptop that can compete against other midrange models.
Competitive price, New fingerprint reader works as well as a camera
Average performance, USB-C hub may be needed for I/O expansion

Attractive, mostly aluminum design, Small and lightweight, Comfortable keyboard, Little bloatware
Sub-1080p resolution, Middling battery life, No fingerprint reader on base model, Very poor specs on base models
Every mid-priced laptop comes with tradeoffs. The Surface Laptop Go’s concessions are largely straightforward: you get an excellent design in exchange for a couple of useful features and some performance overhead. For many people, that’s fine.
Light, attractive, and high-quality design, Comfortable keyboard and trackpad, Minimal bloatware, Good value for money
The keyboard isn’t backlit, Mediocre battery life, Only 256GB of storage at maximum, Slightly less-than-1080p display, The cheapest configuration probably shouldn’t exist
“Surface Laptop Go is an affordable way to stay productive and enjoy premium Surface design without breaking the bank”
The Microsoft Surface Go is supposed to be an entry-level Surface 2-in-1. After a few weeks with it, I feel some Surface lovers should consider it over the Pro and maybe the Surface Laptop 2.
Good display, Light and Portable, Decent Battery Life, USB-C Charging Port
Bezels are slightly TOO big, Accessories sold separately, Not comfortable to use on lap
From the moment I started working on the Surface Laptop Go, I have fallen in love with it. The fact that it’s small and lightweight, and also has a full-size keyboard, and is powerful enough to get the work done makes the Surface Laptop Go winner for writers and journalists.
With so many people working from home these days, powerful notebook computers are essential to keeping businesses running efficiently. The ideal notebook for professionals is lightweight, secure and easy to use and maintain.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go provides portability and power
Slim and Slim laptop, good battery life, light weight and comes with excellent easy configure and start option of Windows 10 S mode. The only negative is 1 USB port only, which makes it tough to manage data and external devices.
Great laptop, and great for common usage, like for students and stuff. The size is perfect, the build quality is great, battery life is pretty good. There are a couple small issue's I found a little annoying though, like the CPU seems a little weak for this laptop, I feel Microsoft could have at...
Love it!! Can earlier then initially stated and runs great.
Great product. Works perfectly. Light weight. Fast.
I bought this laptop to replace my Surface 3 tablet that I have been using for more than six years. I loved it and it still works great, but I wanted to update to a faster OS and updated software. Since I never used it as a tablet, I decided on this laptop. So far, I am very pleased with it.
The laptop is great for doing work or just casual internet browsing.a feature I really enjoy about the product is the really thin bezel. Also the fact that’s it’s touchscreen was a great addition. Overall great product and prefer this over my MacBook Air.
I bought it for wife. Much enough spec for web browsing and any easy task. SSD makes quick response and its storage size and memory is great. Just some weak points are the power cable connector and less USB port and other connectors, but it works to make it simple.
Overall it is a great laptop, quality feels great and looks very nice. i like the touchscreens and speakers sound good for a laptop. My only wish it if it had the option for backlit keyboard. it would help during nighttime usage.
