The Surface Pro 7 is a solid iteration of Microsoft's flagship Windows-tablet 2-in-1, elevated this time by worthy upgrades in the form of a USB-C port and peppy "Ice Lake" CPUs.
-
+
Snappy Intel "Ice Lake" processor, Robust battery life, Sharp display, Well-implemented kickstand, Includes USB-C
-
-
Keyboard still sold separately, Just two ports, and no Thunderbolt support

“The Surface Pro 7 makes few adjustments to the formula, but still delivers a solid 2-in-1 experience.”

After our initial extensive review of the i5 SKU of Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (Core i5, 8 GB) we were now able to review the most powerful model as well, and we very quickly noticed that the faster model is not much different from its more affordable sibling.
-
+
improved GPU performance over i5 SKU, Wi-Fi 6 by default, battery life, quiet despite active cooling, USB-C charging supported
-
-
wasted i7 potential, no Thunderbolt 3, no WWAN or GPS

Surface Pro X Performance Summary: Microsoft's Surface Pro X performance can be summed up best as uneven . Even with native Arm applications, the Surface Pro X couldn't keep up with any of our 64-bit x86 test machines nor a 3rd gen iPad Air.
-
-
Full Windows 10 experience on Arm, Good compatibility with x86 32-bit apps, Bright, sharp PixelSense display, Amazing battery life, Totally fanless, Premium materials and build quality, Integrated always-connected 4G, 4-core 10th Gen Intel CPU impresses, Industry standard x86-64 native...

If you're a content owner of a Surface Pro 5 or Surface Pro 6 , then there is little reason to upgrade to the Surface Pro 7. It's tough to recommend Microsoft's latest iteration when it offers the exact same display as the two-year old Surface Pro 5 and roughly the same CPU performance as the...
-
+
higher temporary Turbo Boost performance over last year's model, Core i5 CPU performance on par with last year's Core i7, finally a USB Type-C port with Power Delivery, updated and faster Toshiba NVMe SSD, slightly longer battery life, Wi-Fi 6 comes standard, silent; passively cooled
-
-
exact same LG Philips IPS display as on the 2017 Surface Pro 5, display could be better calibrated out of the box, high Turbo Boost performance is short-lived, coil whine; electronic noise on our unit, still no Thunderbolt 3 support, slow graphics driver updates, no WAN or GPS
Microsoft has brought its hardware to SA, eight years after its initial release in the US. The Surface is available in a limited range.

With the Surface Pro 7, Microsoft has made minor changes like adding a USB Type-C port and upgraded to Intel’s 10th Gen CPUs. If you have a Surface Pro 6, upgrading to the Surface Pro 7 may not be the best choice as the Surface Pro 6 is already a great product, unless you need the iGPU improvements.

Microsoft has struck with the tried and tested while upgrading the core elements of the Surface Pro 7 . Surface Pro has achieved maturity in terms of hardware and software experience. Buyers will get the latest hardware with decent to impressive performance in different departments.

Still the best Windows 2-in-1 around, but it remains ahead due to the lack of highly recommendable alternatives. The performance upgrade here is excellent, but design-wise the huge bezels now look dated and Microsoft's dedication to Surface Connect is somewhat puzzling.
-
+
Up-to-date Intel processors make for powerful and snappy performance, Punchy screen colours and resolution, USB-C is a welcome addition
-
-
Lack of real change over predecessor, Big screen bezels, No Thunderbolt, So-so battery life (i7 tested), Expensive extras - when adding Type Cover and Pen

The Surface Pro 7 is arguably the best windows tablet money can buy, it’s just not that big a leap over the Surface Pro 6. The form, design, microSD card slot, kickstand, Windows Hello and simply the way it works are still winners in 2020.
-
+
Pros: great screen, good battery life, brilliant keyboard (essential additional purchase), microSD card reader, excellent kickstand, Windows Hello, solid build, easy to carry, USB-A and USB-C
-
-
Cons: no Thunderbolt 3, fairly expensive, keyboard should be included, Core i7 version fans are more audible

Great device. As snappy as a normal ultrabook (assuming you're just doing basic web browsing and simple office tasks). Light enough to enjoy on the couch and easy to travel with. The 256gb version is more livable when you just use the microsd card slot (hidden nicely behind the kickstand).

I bought this laptop because my old one was heavy, non-portable, and couldn't keep a charge. I have to say, I was worried it would not be powerful enough for the type of things I do on a daily basis, but I was way off. It's portable, convienent, lightweight, amd has some amazing battery life.

I've been using Microsoft Surface Pros since version 3. With each upgrade Microsoft has established a new bar for better performance and portability. You can buy this with absolute confidence you'll get the best possible value for your investment.

It’s New it’s fun to play with new toys wish it had more memory but it’s extremely fast you can do a lot with it and I really really enjoy these new electrons

I love it! The size is perfect and the Pen works beautifully. Very happy

Product is very nice. Just know it is a tablet that can somewhat function as a laptop and not the other way around. It is as powerful as many laptops but functionally hard to have in your lap with the keyboard and stand. It is easy to use on a desk but I needed more mobility with the laptop setup.

The Surface Pro is absolutely perfect. For the price and everything it comes with I definitely had to buy it. I use it EVERYDAY the pin is so hand and the features that come with it is amazing. 100% don't regret buying I would again and again.

Got this model for the upgraded processor and memory. Makes it a speedy and capable machine. Would really like to have had the Windows 10 Pro update, but it is any easy update, so that is just a minor inconvenience.
