The Metz 64 AF-1 feels solid and proved itself admirably outdoors and in a studio situation, on camera, and wirelessly as Master or remote. Together with my D610, the flash delivered respectable exposures, and color balance was easily acceptable.

We found the flash gave excellent results when using the bounce flash in combination with the additional front facing flash. Having a built in front facing flash which is available when using bounce flash is a rarity in flashguns, and for more natural portrait shots we would highly recommend this...

Some may prefer a video light to be built-in, Doesn't have battery level information
This is the most powerful and sturdiest flash I own. The metal shoe and sturdy battery door are welcome, as is the overall feel of the construction. The power is there, and the secondary flash is very helpful when bouncing.

May overheat and shut down, Menu learning curve
I've owned this flash for about 2 years now and have used it in some pretty chaotic situations. It has never skipped a beat. I wish the flash's recycle time was faster, but quality of light and exposure accuracy is phenom.
I found the user interface very easy to navigate and find the features I need to access. I am using it with a Nikon D750 and it works perfectly well.
Little adjustment needed when shooting in variable light areas and a very quick recycle.
