This spotting scope is used for a number of tasks from very long range shooting to bird watching. The optics are outstanding with excellent brightness, clarity all the way to the edge of the image and most of all, phenomenal resolution.
Bought this spotting scope for watching Seals on Long Island shores and saw it came with I phone adapter. What a great idea. I have taken some amazing pictures with this spotting scope and the optics are incredible. This spotting scope turned me into a birdwatcher
At 4.25 pounds, this is not a lightweight spotting scope. The build quality, however, is top drawer and will be good for several lifetimes. The glass is superb and images are sharp. Every control is smooth with just the right amount of resistance.
It is quite heavy and at 60 power very small field of view. Will take some serious getting used to. Seems well built. Overpriced for the brand
By far the best spotting scope I own. I have aLeupold GR 20-60x80 (straight) and a Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 (Angled) and the Meopta MeoPro HD has better clarity than the Leupold and the Vortex is absolute junk compared to the Meopta.
Went to Yellowstone. Tons of scopes all watching a grizzly bear. For the price I love mine over a bunch of others. Would easily buy it again. Love the wide eyepiece. Better than the vortex. I am very impressed. The free tripod is awesome as well. Very sturdy.
I have now owned this spotting scope for about a year; and have been able to compare it side by side almost on a weekly bases with a Leica APO 82mm, a Leica APO 77mm, a Swarovski ATX-85mm, Spotting scopes, and a Minox MD-62w-ED spotting scope. (I am an equipment geek; and bring people out Birding.
