Really solid tripod with really nice fluid head movement. If you're on the move a lot it might not be best for you. Ive had mine for a few months ( I have to re-level very often when shooting due to my work) and the knob used to loosen the bowl and re-level already feels to be wearing down.
Ive bought this tripod twice. Its very stable, and very easy to balance on the fly. However, both of the tripods I purchased at some point had the rubber piece in the leg break, which isnt that easy of a fix, like the tripod works but basically goes rogue on you when you try and stand it up.
Great, sturdy tripod with a smooth fluid head. Carry bag is good quality and comfortable to carry around. One fitting to hold down base plate feels a bit flimsy. Overall, a great product, and fantastic value.
The Head:The head is decent, but the spring loaded counter balance is near useless unless your camera just happens to the weight that it can balance. Otherwise it's well built and has held up to regular use over the last year. The Sticks: Simply said, they're junk.
I use this for wedding videography, and it's fine as a simple indoor tripod. The head is great, however the legs feel pretty flimsy and weak. The clasps for the leg adjustments often get jammed up with dirt and don't secure properly.
It's very lightweight but still manages to offer the stability that is needed to do video work and hold large video camera rigs.
There is no adjustable counter balance and the tripod does not have options of spiked feet when you need it.
I was considering purchasing this tripod - I already own two other Manfrotto tripods so I know they are quality built. This video, however, is OBNOXIOUS. If you want to see this tripods features, forget trying to get anything other than frustrated watching the video.
all excellent. very happy with the products.
If you watch the promotional video you will see this product marketed with a Canon C100 and an L series on it. I can assure you, this tripod can not operate with that rig on top of it. The legs constantly collapse. There is no pan or tilt drag. And the build quality of the aluminum feels wafer thin.
My son is a professional in the television production industry. We gave him the tripod as a gift and he is very satisfied with it. It is very sturdy; capable of supporting the large cameras that he uses in his work.
