This item was listed under the 'Accessories' tab for my Manfrotto tripod head so I assumed that meant it was what I needed, as I was looking for a second tripod plate to keep with my camera package. Unfortunately, when it arrived, it was not the right size and didn't fit.
Much bigger and heavier than expected. Easy to use
This plate works smoothly with the Manfrotto 393 gimbal head. It easily attaches to lenses and camera bodies, and then slides right into the 393, and can't fall out of the head unless released by the user.
If you want to know what you will get in the mail, you need to look at Manfrotto 357 Pro Quick Release Adapter with 357PL Plate. This has the same bad description of the product, but shows the correct image of what you will get.
doesn't fit properly - so tight it basically jams in place
The perfect QR plate for my application but both packages I ordered shorted me on screws. The ad says two each size camera fixing screws. Both my packets contained only one each. Otherwise, it's a great product.
I have been very pleased with the Manfrotto gimbal head and original quick release plate. To keep changing lenses simple, I decided to purchase this additional plate to place on an additional lens for ease of changing in the field. Works great.
Quality made product. This is my second one to use exclusively on my 150-600 mm lens in conjunction with the Manfrotto gimbal.
To avoid rendering your tripod useless get a plate for each camera. Manfrotto has cheaper plates making this easy!
A little bit larger than normal :(
